This has been my favorite crossover since I saw it at 13 or 14. You do an excellent job at portraying how trauma affects people differently. Todd lost both of his mother figures tragically and was able to live a relatively OK life, still struggling with his past, but eventually getting into a relationship and hunting without feeling guilt. (Until being confronted by Kenai) Whereas Kenai is unable to cope with what happened and self destructs. This is truly a once in a lifetime type of video and definitely the magnum opus of crossovers!

Finally, a crossover that isn't a stupid love story. I got chills watching this.

Story separate and aside, the manips were fantastic ._. But I'm not surprised xD You've always been good at those, even back to strawberry swing. The difference now is this has been incredibly cleaned up. The use of median and...your other various techniques, to smooth everything out really helped to mold the movies into one. The pairing itself is brilliant, and almost a no brainer xD I really loved the forest setting, and it actually went well with the song! (G2G, one last comment later!!)

Lol well that was a dark twist. Then again I should've seen it coming. This was definitely worth the time you took to make this even if it was three years. I'm glad this wasn't the usual couple crossover since it's starting to get over done. Honestly I'm lost for anymore words to say about this other than it was amazing. I've watched your videos for 4 years now and it's interesting to see how much you've improved. I'll be looking forward to more of your work.

There isn't much of a flow to them, which is what I tend to enjoy most about editing now. So this is great because it's a crossover that well, flows :3 Very well at that. I'm glad you pushed yourself to finish this. I REMEMBER when you told me about it suuu long ago, I assumed it was a dead project. But I can see why you held on to it; as far as crossovers go this is a very plausible pairing, and that's important when it comes to generating emotion and a believable story.

This is just so heart-wrenching... My heart literally went from being happy and relieved to just.. Sad and empty. This is just so deep... And I'm not surprised this took so long to make! It's just so detailed and masked over so well that it really looks like nobody was ever in seperate movies!You truly did a spectacular job on this... God bless ya! ❤

Oh my. Finally a crossover with a story I don't have to read to understand. But it was beautiful - especially the fire parts. It has some story, talent and spirit. Good job!

You know I don't really watch your Disney AMVs because I 'm too lane to have seen the corresponding movies, but I watched this one because I opened it up accidentally and saw 'magnum opus'. You also know that I think you're a very good editor, but I don't even think I realised how good until watching this. I had no idea who any of the characters were beforehand, but the way you edited them told a beautiful, if dark story. I would never ever had known they weren't all scenes from the same movie.

holy fucking shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is INCREDIBLE! you can really see all the effort and plot thought put into this... I think this is THE best crossover I have EVER seen. major chills at 3:33! JESUS CHRIST! I can't get over how fantastic this is. the voiceovers and the adult/child parallels blew me away, too! even the fact that this is ALMOST SIX MINUTES LONG.... I'm so glad you never gave up on this project seeing as it sounds like it took so long! what a beautiful piece of work.

This is easily the best crossover ever created. The story is so detailed yet easy to understand, the colors are more than fitting, the scenes, the music... Every single thing is perfect. Don't get me started on the symbolism omg Also I love you.

(-cont..) as well i.e. the leaves falling to show us subconsciously that time has passed. I've watched a few director/cinematography commentaries and they always talk about things they do to subconsciously manipulate our understanding of time so to see you doing it is great. You don't need any of that "1 year later" bullshit to get your time frames across. ALSO the symbolism of the one leaf falling was. ♥ And the walk down memory lane (+1 trope!) I think one of my favourite bits though (cont-)

I keep coming back to watch this. The part that always grabs me so hard is 3:31 - 3:44 It makes me think of like you can see the bad omen around a person and you try to stay away even though you love them *_* Great use of watership down there

The intro is definitely the best bit, IMO. I loved the segment with Todd and his mother, brief as it was, and I actually felt a little connection there between Todd and his new adopted family, so overall the feeling resonated well throughout the video. Again, the only time I got lost was toward the end and sadly it diiid hinder an emotional climax for me, BUT as far as "critiques" go that is literally my only one xD And in hindsight it's not a big deal, especially once you clear it up for me!
@KittyKraz13

(-cont..) was Kenai's trigger to memories of his mom and what happened, that really touched me personally x) Cause it is very realistic! So many people treat emotional pain like it's transient when really there's triggers for sadness all around, so him chasing Tod away in blame was excellent. AND VIXY'S ENTRANCE WAS FUCKING ADORABLE. Then of course it went insane from there cause Tod's a nutcase. (the yellow flower thing though >_> that might win me over). The climax kind of confused me (cont-)

You're a literal genius. I can't even believe how much you've improved from when I first started watching your videos and I just love how you do everything from sexy pop songs with feelings to emotionally beautiful songs with even more feelings and STILL make them all INCREDIBLE. You're one of the few editors who deserves to have every editor on youtube subscribe to you in my eyes, cause you just deserve it. I'll be watching this video a hundred times over the summer i know it.

This is absolutely beautiful. I really love how gently you manage to blend the present with the past in this aah. Your incredible flow has once again amazed me. I must say that I wasn't expecting the video to end like that though, too sad for my heart to handle!! But HOLY SHIT THIS TOOK 3 YEARS ARE YOU SERIOUS AJEKFSDK. HOW. Seriously your patience is amazing, I swear if you had my patience you would've given up after the first 6 weeks. 8'| Hats off to you.

And THANK YOU for avoiding silly crossover cliche's like making them fall in love or something, UGH xD People always want to obsess over love or victimization and...rape culture *shudders.* Familial ties are the strongest kinds of relationships, so I appreciate that being the main aspect. COMMENT TRAIN DONE! I sense you recognize the flaws, but I also think you know this is a piece of work you can pat yourself on the back for. Now time to soak up the praise, I see a lot of it on the way!

After reading the story to the video I love the open end it carries and I have to say that I got the feeling from watching the video that Tod died. I have to say that this might be THE BEST AMV I have ever seen. The at times chilling yet sweet story that is made all the more compelling by its ambiguity and the wonderfully beautiful editing make this a masterpiece. Nuf' said

(-cont..) to focus in and out of characters in the fore-front and back-front so I am very happy to see you do that!! It's such a cool technique. It's was also really sad to watch Tod peek out from under his moms tail so fuck you for that. (and then he rubs up on the mama bear *melts*) I just can't pinpoint a perfect part, it's literally like a movie, you need each part to get the others T_T Koda finding his mom dead by the way WAS NOT OKAY. at all ugh. Great use of time-frame-references (cont-)
@KittyKraz13

I agree with Imani that a huge thing that I like about this is it's more realistic and you didn't romanticize anything completely disgusting; you aren't CONDONING anything, you're depicting it, and that was a huge issue with the taboo fight that went on for awhile and the lines that blurred. XD I reaaally love the play on shadows and light, and something that frustrates me with crossovers is how little people use spacial recognition and making it look movie-esque by using Gaussian blur (cont-)

I just.. I can't. Ugh, what is life? I need the right words to help describe my feelings towards this. First off, I have tried a crossover between F&TH and Brother Bear. Ahah let me tell you, from my experience those two fuckers are hard to put together. I have no chroma key/masking skills what so ever so you earned my praise from the first second. Also, your story line Key. (omfgggg. c:) It's perfect. Just everything. I love it. This is my new favorite. You just don't even know. Mm.

(-cont..) too thoughhh. You'll have to explain this to me in msn cause what I got was kind of a psychosis issue there which I imagine was sort of your drive (using that scene in Watership down it would sort of have to be) but I would appreciate a little clearer picture. BUT this is very good overall, obviously judging by my rambling (and I loved the leaves falling onto each other in the credits-- picture completed). Very nice love. ♥ Very movie-esque.

Ok ok ok so let me start off with where I got confused, around 3:33 and following, particularly 3:51, I assume a number of parallels were being drawn but I wasn't totally sure what was being communicated right there in that instance, and as a result the intensity of the moment was lost on me. SO I would like some clarification for that segment to piece it together, but other than that everything else was pieced together great, and up until that moment the pacing was ON POINT.

BAHA back from the gym :3 Ok anyway to continue the comment train - I wanted to mention earlier that I really liked the outro as well. I actually felt more raw emotion there than I did during most of the main story line; did you have trouble choosing between the two songs? xD I really liked that one. Overall this video is a great showcase for your skills. Crossovers fail to interest me so much nowadays because they're usually edited in blocks and chunks. MANIP. next scene. MANIP. next scene
