Dragvirion is basically just "TRIBUTE ME FOR FREE EXTENSION", which is kinda goofy in Altergeist itself(despite how all their Links like to Tribute things) but works well enough as a generic extender in Synchro goodstuff. But there are a LOT of good Synchro 6 extenders, so it comes down to if you need a Tribute in your line or a Nibiru contingency plan(since Nibiru removes by Tributing).

Very interesting. I've been playing Bystial Stardust since release in Master Duel. This list and combos are basically the same, but with the extra layer of Runick. I don't really enjoy runick, but this is a nice way to play the deck. The clear main difference is that the non-engine of Bystial Stardust was changed to Runick. If that makes the deck better idk, but it definetely adds some consistence to it. Yes the bricks are definitely the problem in the deck and drawing only the tuners doesn't do anything. It is a high roll build. But tho, it's hella fun

this decklist inspired me to build my own runick synchron decklist: Instead of stardust synchron i play 3 jet synchron with junk dragonlet as my garnet. the combo line is hugin + jet make marchial metal marcher search drogonlet cl1 cl2 revive jet. summon dragonlet, make coral dragon and the use a runick spell to summon geri and make baronne with the coral dragon drawing you a card. then you can either draw 2 with fountain from the geri summon or if you have another runick in hand wait with the draw to summon a second geri to make f.a. dawn dragster with the marchial metal marcher and the geri. 2 negates with a draw 1 with a tuning and 3 runicks in hand. as non engine i play ashblossom because if you have ash + 2 runicks you can go ash + hugin into accel synchron, increase the level by sending jet and then summon geri to make baronne. and draw with fountain. aditionally if you have some more runicks at this point you can revive the jet synchron, summon a huggin, make metal marcher and use another runick spell to make your geri for the dawn dragster. same board with more cards used and without the coral dragon draw. because we summon geri twice we can keep cycling the runick fieldspell if we get a second with tip or huggin. i also play duality because i love how its extension and recycles your rescouces.. thankyou for reading all of this I had a lot of fun building this deck..

Glad to see people actually trying to push Stardust in unique ways outside of Synchron. As someone who has played the Stardust theme for a long time (I've played all the way back since they started getting more extra deck support in 2015/2016), not sure I agree completely with everything shown in the deck itself. It's still really interesting. Though the bystial stuff is kinda iffy, they tend to bring things down a lot and will always require some prior set up which is also a problem with Stardust Synchron as well. It's main summon eff is tributing then summoning, so say you open stardust synchron and bystials going first, and you have a runick. OK pretty good, but summoning the ruck is 1st summon, then tributing with stardust synchron, then summoning the bystial. That puts you at three summons, search arrive, summon ruddy rose summon converging. That is 6 summons for this assuming you don't summon anything with Converging. I do think the combo itself is very neat that was shown in the video! Also the fact that synchro locking is a huge deal, and if you want as little as summons as possible or want to play around nib you're normally going to be saving your Stardust Synchron tribute is important Converging would be more like a soft brick rather than a hard brick. Back when I played Stardust Tear in MD there were tons of times I just felt like it I need it in hand in order for things to work. Summoning it off of Arrive is always nice, but having it in grave plays through so many interrupts. There are also times where I stack something like Stardust Wurm or another dragon onto the top of deck and keep Converging Wills in hand. You still only play one because if you drew like 2 of those things, you'd be screwed, but honestly 2-3 Arrive doesn't feel AS bad in other builds when you play still like illumination too. I think if anything the Runick Cards are sorta holding this deck back, and while they are good against handtraps they don't really help solve the Stardust Decks main issue. If anything I think Bystial Stardust pure would be better. I know people were saying this deck doesn't rely on the Runick but if anything I think it heavily relies on the Runick engine to really get things done, albiet the Runick engine has a ton of benefits too that you don't normally see in Stardust so there is a ton of merit in playing it as well. You win some you lose some with the engines you choose to play in Stardust imo, and Runick ain't the perfect engine for it but I would def say it's a good one that can be fun!

Tuning being able to mill runicks, the brotaur and samsara dragon being okay discards for hugin, arrive in light being a similar card to draw like regained (prefer to search it, drawing it is okay since it gives advantage regardless by synchroing), converging wills being summonable from hand with arrive in light, mutamorphosis is able to special summon stardust synchron. All of these make them soft brick and not the worst to draw unless you draw all of them together.

This means you cant trigger its effect by summoning arionpos and drawing with arrive in light. Instead I would activate arrive in light after summoning arionpos and drawing converging wills with fountain. Because the extra deck is so tight, I'm not playing any links so converging wills is only really useful as tribute material for stardust synchron anyway. If there was another level one dragon that could special itself for free, I would cut converging wills.

Not sure if this will get seen, but I think there's room for development of a Runick deck that uses non-engine tuners (like Veiler or the Ghost Girl hand traps) to go into Accel Syncron or another lv5 synchro, and treat those cards as the second engine

Earthbound Runick lists I've seen run 3 ash 3 belle to use as tuners for dis pater or if you don't see your EBs and it worked well. Gets murdered by droll more than usual though sadly

@@JamesHawnn Earthbound Runick is definitely pretty sweet, but what I've been toying with is running about 12 hand traps, and using them as the secondary engine, as they can all be used as tuners to be able to end on a Barrone or Chengying using an Accel Synchron line

issue with non engine in runick is its hard to synergise. non engine lets you combo but runick cant combo without access to stuff already. what ur gonna draw non engine + 2%3 runicks + tuner? i think instead of traditional you need non engine that actively breaks boards at the same time. perhaps stuff like econ. i like soul release because it stops both their interruptions and takes away resources letting a flashing fire or curses end their turn.

By the way, there's also zombie runick - play 3 solitaire 3 uni-zombie 2 shinobi necro 1 mezuki + the bystials. Same deal as bystial runick but with zombies as enablers instead of quem. Requires immortal dragon in the extra deck as well

As a synchron enjoyer, seeing Arrive in Light in a deck in 2024 feels... weird as fuck... Not a fan of how that card forces you to run multiple garnets to even function, though Samsara Dragon is interesting to add Bystials back to hand

If you look at Runick as a Powercreep version of Instant Fusion, they're essentially support for any Summon mechanic that requires 1-2 monsters on the field(including Tribute Summons). It gets trickier with Links but it's still not impossible as long as you just want something to get going, especially with S:P Little Knight that can remove itself from the EMZ if the opponent makes a move(and the opponent using BP to remove it invites Haar's Horse to come in and blink another thing). For XYZs you need to use specific leveled ones though, of which they currently have 2-4, a 9 to DIRECTLY support their Generaider cousins(and even has a similar style of token generation to give Golden Droplet some utility), and then there's Freki for the handful of Rank 5s that are still useful to work with.

this deck is way too bricky, it looks like quick draw dandy warrior, on the surface its a good endboard, but like, it falls victim to the fact you can just not draw cards in the correct order, you can very well just not open your starters, the fact that this doesn't get to make junk speeder is also pretty detrimental to its consistency, overall its probably not really that playable.
