Hello, my dears 🌹 Today I am sharing with you the simplest version of Russian Napoleon cake recipe 💯 This recipe is my salvation :)
INGREDIENTS:
- Puff pastry (6 layers)
For cream:
- Milk (2 cups)
- Sugar (3 tablespoons)
- Flour (2 tablespoons)
- Starch (wheat or corn) (half a tablespoon)
- Egg (1 pc.)
- Butter (1 tablespoon)
HOW TO COOK?
1) Firstly, take the puff pastry out of the freezer to defrost the dough.
2) In the meantime, prepare the cream. Add all ingredients, except butter, to a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Lastly, add the butter and mix well so that there are no lumps.
3) Cut the puff pastry the way you like it. I divided one layer into four parts, if you want, and 8. Put the chopped puff pastry on a baking sheet and bake at a temperature of 200 degrees until golden brown and fluffy.
4) Divide the baked puff pastry into two parts with a knife and distribute cold cream between them.
If you have time, let it brew in the refrigerator for several hours, then they will be softer.
When serving, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
