Yes, 1 of my grandmas always carried her handbag with her, even took it to the bathroom with her. She also put it down the side of her bedside cabinet when she went to bed. It was literally attached to her. She also had a different handbag for different occasions, best bag, bingo bag, shopping bag, evening bag and so on, oh and majority always matched her shoes or coat. Definitely a generation “trait” in older ladies.
