Yes! It's so great to have a clear explanation of how to teach moving safely in a yoga practice, and to dispel yet another of those annoying "cues" that throw a ratchet into our somatic experience of sensing, feeling and trusting ourselves first!

do we know where the expression of the "tuck of the tail bone" is coming from in chair pose??? since it goes against our natural movement, what school of thought might this be coming from? Have heard it as well in classes and trainings...

Firstly can I say Judith you look amazing and I miss your visits to Australia. I think you all did an amusing explanation of the pelvis and sacrum. I learnt this from a very wise Californian women..... in Redland Bay, Brisbane. I can't wait for the course to start. Much love to you all beautiful women. xxx

Thankyou a great video. I like the experiential form. So much confusion in yoga world on back bends in general - and what to do with the pelvis and sacrum. Thus has helped me trust my body. Maybe you have a video on what is the best way to engage the glutes in ustrasana? Thankyou 🙏 xx

Some folks over arch the low back in Utkatasana. Rather than "tucking" the tailbone, better to extend the tailbone diagonally down to create a more natural curve in the low back. However, maybe better to just let them over arch rather than create confusion? Any thoughts on this, and on cueing to keep the natural curve happening?

Difficult to answer without seeing the student, of course . But remember what Mary and Mom are saying: we SHOULD arch the lower back in Utkatasana. I'm skeptical that your student is really "arching too much" - because I almost always see the opposite. My advice: experiment in your own body, and see how it feels best! Then teach from there.

Great series. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. I also enjoy this live conversation format, so I have a very technical question: what software do you use to make and record those video calls?
