Happy Thanksgiving Day to your whole family and friends . We done had our’s this December 2 , 2024 it’s 7:00 p.m. here in Central Indiana we got so far 1 to 2 inches on snow in different counties around here. Wow dad calves our growing good. What about putting a heating light in with the chickens hand in the middle with extra cord. The stores here sale brown or white eggs between $4 or $5 dollar’s a dozen. And some farmers sale their eggs around 2.30 to $3.50 a dozen.

Great video! Your family is keeping some great traditions going, like the big family meal gatherings. You are truly fortunate to have a big family or any family to come together every week, in addition to working and running the farm and store together congenially! Would love to have what you all have! : ) You had mentioned a few weeks back that you all are planning on extending the cover over the cows feeding area. I hope you all can get that done after every the ground dries out some. Feeding all the cows in the dry would help you all too. Someone also commented about spreading a bunch of those rocks you pull out of the fields down on your barn lot to possibly help with the sloppy. That sounds like a great idea! : )

Very glad to hear you do not have the farm market open on Thanksgiving. You guys deserve a day off. Feeding animals is no big deal. As you say, take a few minutes. The rest of the day is at home. As it should be. Hope your Thanksgiving was amazing. See you in the next one.
@lisacornett936418 сағат бұрын
If I lived close to you, I can guarantee you I would be in your farm market at least once a week. Your market would be the only place I would buy produce and eggs. I would also be buying any meat you sell. I would be one of your favorite customers. I would offer to help in the kitchen or green houses during your busiest times. And I would donate my time because I love to cook and plant flowers.

I remember when I was younger and working for a farmer milking cows how upset my younger brother was on Christmas morning. My Mom wouldn’t let him open any gifts until I was home from chores and had something to eat. So he didn’t get to gifts until 1030 or so.

A further clarification, you are in the northeastern part of PA, not North East, PA. North East, PA is a township and borough in Erie county in northwestern PA. 😂 when I was first married 44 years ago I wanted to make my husband pancakes for breakfast, I asked how many he wanted, he said 5 or 6. I said are you sure, he said yes he was really hungry. So I made them, he came to the table and almost fell over. You see I grew up in a family with 8 children and mom made pancakes as big as the pan his mom made pancakes that were only about 3 to 4 inches across. 😂

My wife and I stooped in about a month ago on our way south from P.E.I., it was a Saturday morning so we missed everyone but Daniel and Saddie. A few days later we were on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga Tenn. and came across the Ochs memorial museum there. When I saw in the comments about the Ochs highway in Tenn. it reminded me. I just bagged the last of this years potatoes yesterday ,the crop this year was amazing.

Who feeds the Barn Cats? There aren't enough mice for them all. What breed of Chicks did you get? This late in the year you must be hoping they begin to lay eggs in the spring. The older birds stop in the winter unless it's their first and they only just started.
@k.p.113920 сағат бұрын
Andrew feeds the cats, but you don't see it much. Their chickens have been laying for a while, both sets. The first batch that he fed, are the older ladies, the 2nd batch have been laying pretty much all of this year. I'm thinking you must be new to this channel 🙂 If so, you will love it. I've been with these guys I think when they had less than 5k subscribers. I have NEVER got bored. 😁
