aw. he was so sweet. I liked how he says he is in love. he was married to his widow for many years but everyone always is quick to pair him with Gilda. I'm sure he was in love with her and her death devastated him but he moved on and found a new love. it happens all the time and his widow deserves more respect and acknowledgement
@dollymarie53598 жыл бұрын
Down with the bloody red queen he loved Gilda but not the same way she loved him, he had said she was very neurotic and couldn't live with her and also that it was a one sided relationship with her, he was in love with Karen, his last wife and was with her the past 25 years of his life. he married her a year after Gilda died.

R.I.P. Gene Wilder. You will be missed by everyone your talent touched. He was the star of two of my most favorite films ever - 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Young Frankenstein'. He was also the star of several films that I enjoy a lot like 'Silver Streak', 'Blazing Saddles', 'Stir Crazy', and 'The Frisco Kid'. He wasn't in a lot of films compared to his peers but when he was on film, he was polarizing and you remembered him.

I guess the title of the book is about not getting too caught up in the details of life, about the beauty of not knowing or the importance of not becoming so preoccupied with the knowledge of what could go wrong that you lose sight of the beauty of some of life's most mysterious things. Put more briefly, it's about the idea that after a while, kissing the same romantic partner everyday might get boring. It's about keeping that magic and that sense of mystery alive so you can maintain that aura of beauty, both in romance and in life at large.

In the 1980s, my sister ran into Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner at a bookstore in New York once. She was a huge SNL fan and loved Gilda Radner and she was completely gushing over her.(The way she tells it. In other words, she was a psycho celebrity stalker.) Then she turned to Gene Wilder and said "I know you're famous too, but I can't remember your name." Gilda said to Gene "I told you I was more famous." From the way my sister tells the story she acted like a complete nut, but she says they were very nice and sweet.
