Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe the hack for foundation matching is used by makeup artists anymore. I think the reason being is because technically the shade of your arms/wrists is slightly different than the shade of your face, so when you go into Sephora they actually test out different shades on your face to see which shades blend in the best. So while Charlotte is an amazing makeup artist, at least one of the tips she’s using is kind of old and outdated.

I tried the last trick of blurring the edges of my lipstick and it worked amazingly, I didn't think to do that before, it is great for making small lips look bigger, I do think you need a mirror to apply it nicely though. I used a Lime Crime Plushie matte lipstick.

The host's constant interruptions made the time limitation worse. She should've guided Charlotte without letting the audience in on the time constraints. Charlotte gave great advice, but I constantly thought about running out of time because of the host.

OMG this clip reminds me why I stopped watching the Today show years ago. I could never understand why they don't just have LESS segments for each show so it's not so rushed. You have Charlotte Tilbury on your show! Let her do her thing. Why can't she be there before and after commercial break? Rather than having 7 or 8 topics in an hour, why not have 4 or 5 that are slower, more detailed and therefore more interesting?

I don't understand the foundation concept these days. None of the foundations 'match'. If they matched, you wouldn't see them. So first model had one side of face that was fair and then the other side was just dark. I can see that Charlotte is on;y doing what the trends are dictating. But back in the 90's, a match, was a match. I also loved Shiseido powdery foundation. Wish they bought that back.

I think CT was matching the foundation with her neck since the skin on the face is thinner it tends to look lighter and also redder because of our blood underneath. If we look at her neck its a very close match. I have an uneven skintone on my face where my cheeks and forehead are paler than the rest of my face so when i did my makeup matching my foundation concealer to my cheeks it always looked too pale on me because it didn’t match the rest of my body so I’ve started to go tanner and it looks much better I also prefer to use skin tints rather than fully opaque formulas, I think skin has a really nice natural contour. It’s difficult to match foundation to your face because we have so many different shades of colors all over our bodies ❤
