So you have a million dollar house but no candles and flashlights or generator and use a bottle of water for light

Your washing machine isn't insulated as well as your frig...

Why not leave the food in the refrigerator with some ice? The refer has to be better insulated than the washing machine. Put everything on lower shelves--heat rises. Also--freeze everything you can--butter, milk, etc. It will keep longer and help everything else remain cold. Turn your freezer to the lowest setting. And don't open the freezer or refer door unless you have to. Get some dry ice if you can. If you have a Prius or other hybrid, get an inverter. Voila, you have a generator (a pretty efficient and quiet one at that). All of this assumes that you have some advance warning.

In the working class home people have on the job sight tools like dewalt and milwaukee rechargeable flashlights and sawzalls. And some have gas generators also. Goes what I'm trying to say is if you use your cordless job sight flashlight during night you can save fuel for your generator and recharge them when ya fire up your generator again.

👠 "rich" people have no idea on how to survive when the (comforts of home) are taken away! People from the Hood or Appalachian mountains know how to get the job done! 😊 and still remain happy - kuddos to them!

Hi. Im here to help. Instead of buying a battery pack to charge your phone. Use your laptop. You can also run a small usb fan with a laptop. I did it today.

Why not just put the bags of ice in the freezer, it'll keep the ice longer due to the way it seals it air tight.🤔 Obviously. Plus where are you going to keep getting ice once it melts?? From the freezer Right?😂
