Been saying Boehly is not the one to go after. Unfortunately people are waking up too late, the damage has been done. If anyone remembers when Clearlake bought Chelsea, the team went to LA for the preseason, toured theme parks, Dodger Stadium, etc… all on Boehly’s behalf. The vibes were VERY high, we even had a banner with Todd on it to welcome to new owners. Boehly was always supposed to be the positive face of the board, with high profile connections to celebrities and events in LA. Fast forward to the present, we see the ownership breakdown and the damage done by the board, he’s become the face of blame. No surprise he wants out.

Look, everyone arguing which members of the ownership are responsible. Here's the simple answer. THEY ALL ARE TO BLAME. They were presented with a club that had an incredible infrastructure. I understand, people left with Roman, but the structure was still there and they should, have had conversations with those who left on who they themselves, would recommend to fill that space. Instead, they went, yeah, whatever - off you go, we've got our own plan. Even though their own plan isn't founded in any actual footballing expertise - it's based on financial expertise. I've been leaving these comments about Behdad and his share amount & how he& Clear lake capital are pulling the strings. Here’s my bet. Bohely knows what’s coming with regards to the Cyprus report investigation (likely huge points deduction) and knows we won’t avoid ffp (yet more points) he knows if he stays he’ll loose a hell of a lot of money and this leads into why we are looking at championship managers, cause that’s where we are heading thanks to the Cyprus papers. Otherwise him “wanting to leave” after investing a billion odd (at least hundreds of millions) makes no sense. No investment banker/venture capitalist just walks away from that level of money.
