@@kyero8724 It's not perfect, but Skyrim/FO already had the technology to localize your crimes and didn't immediately issue a KoS order for minor offences. They even had the option for you to surrender to the guards when you put down your weapons and not just this YouMe guy. Don't know why they regressed.

@@anima94 not really an invention, vats in the original fallouts was just their version of the turn base mechanic that you see in those type of rpgs. bethesda just turned it into an entirely different thing since it's a 3d engine instead of a topdown which worked pretty well.

A mate of mine did something similar on Fallout 4. They were outside diamond city helping the guards kill dogs, accidentally shot a guard and from thereon.... This shit happened to me as well. I killed a whole town just trying to survive, and there was no way to turn myself in. I ended up getting a bounty close to 1 million, which was impossible to pay back. All NPCs kept reviving and getting back up again, so it’s not like I could end it. It just soft locks you from going to that city for the rest of the game until you can pay them back. So stupid.
