Is anyone questioning the banks due diligence? Obviously they didn't do their job either or they may have stopped the loans in their tracks and none of this would have happened. The banks also need to lay blame on themselves
@heidiblake7957
@heidiblake7957 Жыл бұрын
I think the word here is "intent" if Lee sees our comments maybe she could provide some knowledge. Even if the bank didn't catch them they intentionally used false information to apply for the loans. So possibly if the banks caught on and stopped some or all of their loans I would think they would still have pressed charges. But I could be wrong.

The biggest problem that the jury, the judge, the fans, and the world has is that the Chrisleys show zero humility and ZERO accountability. They do not accept at all that they did anything wrong. This is why their sentence is going to be harsher, they just are so cocky and arrogant.

Thank you, Lee, for making Justin Paperny known to me. I don't have any prison time looming in my future (hopefully!) but my life will have some unwanted limitations now due to a new health problem, and I have been feeling both angry and depressed because of it. Listening to Justin's advice for those facing incarceration, I realized much of it could be applied to my future too. I will now face my "new" life in new ways: offering to share the knowledge I've learned from success and failure, and seeking additional ways I can help others obtain their goals, and not waste any time or energy complaining about my situation or trying to justify previous poor choices.

I feel so very sad for the kids. Their parents are going to be missing a big chunk of their lives. Possible weddings, births, graduations, birthdays, etc. what were Todd and Julie thinking? And Nanny Faye is very sick, what will happen if she dies while they are in prison; they won’t even be able to attend her funeral. How very, very, sad…😢
@joankimble7973
@joankimble7973 Жыл бұрын
Unless death occurs without any notice, inmates are usually given a choice of visiting the sick person before they die or attending the funeral but the person must be a very close family member; either a child, sibling, parent, or grandparent. It also depends on the inmate's reason for being in prison and they will have to go in handcuffs and shackles with at least one guard with them at all times. At least this is what happened when my father was a guard/shop foreman in the prison where I lived in Georgia. Dad was a guard for 30 years there. Actually, he always corrected me if I said he was a prison guard and told me he was a Correctional Institution Officer. I also think the deceased can be either mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law and grandparents. Not sure about neices or nephews. This is the info I know about in GEORGIA and it is a County prison that takes some State prisoners, too, like a lot of County prisons.

Thankyou for this. I was so surprised to hear that the chrisleys will b home for Christmas and not report to prison til Jan 15. I am equally surprised that their daughter was still shouting their innocence and that her parents were wronged. I wish they would both admit they had taken wrong paths and recognise why they did it. I have no doubt that it was for the benefit of their family and it enabled them to contribute to their community but they chose to take that route with money that wasn't honestly theirs. Justin has given strong suggestions in how to deal with time in prison. IE mentoring/entrepreneurship and I believe the chrisleys would do well to listen to good advice and not advice that necessarily suits their egos.

Martha Stewart went to prison and she didn’t lose her celebrity status. I’d say that Todd and Julie will be back in some sort of way back to fame. They should’ve pleaded to the court of their guilt and took some responsibility for their actions.

Justin is a gem. That’s some quality advice and encouraging perspective. Was not expecting this kind of interview. It was motivating and the message of hope and new phases can relate to everyone watching this. The structure and authenticity offered, I would of $ bought it. That’s how powerful his words are. Most of all - I hope the CHRISLEYS see this video! No one could of said it better or asked questions with direct responses like Justin and Lee did.

I’ve been locked up for 2 years before and I can’t imagine a 12 year bid…Todd will come out entirely different. Also his southern accent will most likely cause other inmates to take him as a gay man. Inmates are going to exploit Todd in there. Let’s hope not.

How can Elisabeth Holmes get a lesser sentence than Todd Chrisley? She scammed investors for billions? And people's health and lives were at stake? Chrisley must have a bad lawyer . He should have a lesser sentence for his crimes. Very interesting podcast.

The Christly’s were very manipulative in that court . They are extremely privileged, and not remorseful at all. They need to give the little girl back to her parents. They have no idea what that child needs and they are clueless as to raising a bi-racial child. Their history of racism should of made them ineligible to even adopt her . Her parents may not be perfect, but they literally have committed serious crimes, how dare they think they are good role models. They are still walking around with their noses i the air as if they are better than others . Todd can’t even be honest about who he is.

Great video. The Chrisleys said they were innocent so many times they convinced themselves that, not only would justice prevail, but that God would save them from this fate. Neither happened and that's when celebrity outrage kicks in - "I can't go to jail. I'm a famous celebrity!" followed by the common delusion, "All is not lost. We can win this on appeal!" I prefer Justin's advice on accountability. Much less embarrassing over the long haul.

I’m amazed that throughout this ordeal neither of the Chrisley’s thought about the fallout of their crimes how the people working in these small banks suffered losing their jobs through no fault of their own. Amazing how they turned to God for help. Isn’t Julie’s father a minister? So she knew it was wrong and went along with it

I think they should give them ankle monitors and make them pay the money back. Because they’re taking up jail cells this probably needed by other hard criminals. And a hard criminals were released back on the street in the chrisleys are going to go to jail that they don’t even make any sense

Nanny Faye is just as guilty as they are, she is not stupid, she knew what was going on she just wanted to live the high-life off of stolen money and not say anything about it. God is punishing her with her loneliness and her not being a moral mother or grandmother.

@@heidiblake7957 Heidi Blake get up off of your couch eating Cheetos and go do some research from the trial record and the documented evidence that was submitted and used during the trial. Nanny Faye had money and corporate ownership put in her name and her accounts to try and hide it from the authorities and the bankruptcy court when the authorities started investigating the Chrisley Crime Family, she signed and swore to fraudulent Affidavits it was hers and she had control over it, she willingly and knowingly had assets fraudulently transferred into her name and control in violation of the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act. "Over the course of a decade, the defendants defrauded banks out of tens of millions of dollars while evading payment of their federal income taxes," U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan said in a statement. "Their lengthy sentences reflect the magnitude of their criminal scheme and should serve as a warning to others tempted to exploit our nation's community banking system for unlawful personal gain." I don't have to "know" the family like you idiots that watched this BS "reality show" and thought you knew them and fawned over them, the jurors didn't "know" the family like they were some next-door neighbor, they looked at the facts and the evidence and listened to the testimony.

My opinion doesn't change a thing in your life so why get so upset about it. Btw, I'm not a fan of the Chrisley's at all. I didn't like their show. I didn't like Todd's attitude that he knowws best. He obviously didn't. But I am not going to trash his mom. That's just who I am. Stop letting someone else's opinion get to you. I guarantee my opinion matters zero in the grand scheme of things.
