I'm in the Middle East, and everyone was talking about Joker movie. Teenagers and adults alike were going to see it twice or more.

@aljanat5 Jesus Christ bro, just shut the fuck up. You wanna talk about people being sheep when you are the exact definition of one. You've become entrenched inside the media's message and have cowardly brought your insecurities to a KZbin video that's very obviously not for you. You obviously have an agenda and it's fucking quite pathetic. Grow up and learn that what goes on inside that tiny little brain of yours has no real importance to the people that live in the real world. I mean seriously, who trolls KZbin videos of movies they don't like just in order to bash the director and start arguments? Pathetic ass losers that have no real life and no true, original thoughts that can further a real discussion. I'd feel sorry for you if you didn't absolutely bring this shit on yourself. You've embarrassed yourself enough so my advice to you would be to get educated. But until then, fuck off and stay out of grownup conversations because just from reading your last two comments, I can very confidently say you're an ignorant fucking buffoon. Peace out, fucking loser.

FantasticFrank85 it has to be like the comics to be a good film? What ever happened to being original? I’ll take a fresh take over one that we’ve seen or read a million times
@Chase-rq7gh5 жыл бұрын
FantasticFrank85 It’s a new take on his origin.. he wasn’t joker until the very end of the movie just like how in the killing joke he wasn’t the joker until he fell into the vat of chemicals... this was a great origin showing a man slowly forming into the joker and by the end fully embracing it.. it still had the dirty crime ridden Gotham, still had the Wayne family, so the comic themed beats were still there.. I love that they tried something new and completely original
@Chase-rq7gh5 жыл бұрын
FantasticFrank85 joker was around 30 in this movie and Bruce was around ten, so Batman would be early in his Batman career at around 20 fighting against a 40 year old joker who’s had ten years to continue getting crazier.. sounds pretty awesome to me... you also have to consider that Batman and joker aren’t interesting because of there hand to hand skills, it’s interesting because on one hand you have Batman who’s great at fighting and the other you have joker who’s crazy yet smart at the same time.. I’d love a movie about an older joker going up against a less experienced batman

9:24 beautifully said. 🙌🏼💯 I never thought the darkest and the most disturbing film i have ever seen will have one of the most important message. The power of kindness and empathy. What a Director.

Yes, I read somewhere that it's ironic that there were all these concerns about violence breaking out, and yet people feel like being nicer to each other after seeing the movie
@vmoonlight49625 жыл бұрын
Exactly, well said! Life is not being rich being popular, being highly educated or being perfect. It is about being real, being humble and being kind. Kindness and compassion are the way to go about life. We never know what people go home to, let just be nice to each other. I do not like this age we live in where it’s not cool to be kind, to inspire and to have a soft hearted.

I don't know if you'll read this but, just in case you do. THANK YOU Mr Phillips for pushing the studio(s) into approving this fantastic film. :)

@aljanat5 Oh dear! If what you're saying is true then you really must go to the press or any of the news channels? Joker has been the surprise hit of the year and with awards season rapidly approaching this would be big news. My understanding is that Todd Phillips co-wrote this story with Scott Silva, and freely admits that he listens (and accepts) input from others on a set. Do you have a copy of your original script, or, are you someone who made suggestions and he listened? If it's the latter then I'm afraid it will be your word against his and with all due respect he will be able to afford better lawyers and could successfully sue you for libel! I must also say absolutely no-one knows what demons people have inside their heads. Just because Todd Phillips doesn't shout about any tragedies he may have had in his life doesn't mean to say that he hasn't had any. As someone who has claimed to have written Joker surely you understand that what on the outside appears to be an "easy life" could be masking all kinds of discomfort and insecurities in private? Finally does it really matter that Todd Phillips changed his name? Seriously, on a scale to 1-10 how important is this "juicy" nugget of truth? It doesn't take away from the fact that Todd Phillips and Scott Silva wrote a good screenplay and somehow persuaded one of the best actors of his generation to star in it. They were then brave enough to change screenplay and as a result gave audiences a hauntingly brilliant film. You may think you wrote Joker but, I seriously doubt if you could have bettered what Todd Phillips so beautifully, and painstakingly gave his audiences this autumn. I know I'm sounding very much like a "fangirl" but, I really don't think Mr Phillps (and anyone-else for that matter) who worked on what I believe to be one of the best films in years should have their credibilty tarnished by what seems to be an internet slur. They had enough undeserved nonsense thrown at them when the film was released and having seen it several time I believe it was totally unwarranted and they really don't need it now.

@aljanat5 Very good, I really was giving you the benefit of the doubt, and was sympathetic until you spouted all that nonsense about Joaquin's brother. I'm sorry but, at the risk of sounding like Dr Sally, that was in extremely poor taste. As for The Irishman, I actually thought that was seriously over-hyped so maybe you did have some input in that after all! ;)

@aljanat5 I'm sorry but, I have to agree with Chase. There appear to be a lot of "Americanisms" in the language you're using which makes me seriously doubt whether you're actually from the UK. I haven't clicked on your link because I do not want to listen to someone's pain and would really like you to edit/delete it. I've never heard that recording because it would feel like an unacceptable intrusion of privacy. IMHO the only people who have a right to listen to that tape and to discuss what happened that night are the family. It's their pain, and for us to be even discussing it, is a serious encroachment on their grief. If by some small chance you really are from the UK then I strongly suggest you get help. There is a fantastic mental health charity (www.mind.org.uk/) who can help you to find the support you need.

5 times I went to the movies to see the Joker Joaquin Phoenix. From the first shots I clung to my chair from emotions I could not understand. In some shots the tears were not allowed to watch the movie. It was as if my soul had been transferred to the screen and I was Arthur Fleck. In late without tears look impossible. Arthur's entire life from childhood, when he was a little boy, to the Joker-all in these frames... Mr.Todd is The best Director. Mr.Joaquin is The best actor. Geniuses! and the whole crew. Thank you very much for your creativity and great work!!! With love from Russia. Come to us in the summer. Winter is very cold:) we love you and are grateful !)
