The sounds that you get out of your set that fit so perfectly into all of the different pars of your songs is just unbelievable. You play all of these different notes by hitting so many different parts of your kit, and that just takes your songs to such a whole new level. I am a self-taught, 73 year old drummer that lacks any musical knowledge/terminology to really convey my love for what you do. I am just dumbfounded by your skills.

For those of you who have watched Todd perform this song before on KZbin from a couple of years ago. I urge you to put the two videos side by side to notice something unsaid. Consistency. Todd has played this song thousands of times but he plays it every time as if someone in the audience is hearing it for the first time.

So many things to like about this video and Todd's super-human capabilities. The relentless left foot on the high-hats, the perfectly tuned toms (shout out to Todd and his drum techs), the great audio sound including the bell of the ride cymbal (shout out to the audiio engineers), the well-placed and "tasteful" fills that really add to the character of the songs - and like so many others have said - Todd has this simple fluidity to the way he plays; makes it look so easy and comfortable. I can't help but smile every time I watch a TS video!

Well, what hasn't already been said...? I'm new to Mr. Sucherman's sound and playing. That's partially because A: I've primarily been a metal guy, and B: I live under a rock. Definitely been "binging" his clips here (and think it's pretty wicked that he's actually taken the time for some replies here in the comments!!), as well as picking up a copy of his Methods and Mechanics II, which wound up being more informative and entertaining than from just a drum "perspective". That hadn't been enough. I looked at the tour schedule earlier this year, shortly after getting "on board" and saw that Styx were gonna be in town this weekend as a matter of fact. I have enjoyed the bands music over the years, but Mr. Sucherman is the catalyst that would get me to a show. By the time I made it to get tickets, the show was sold out. Kind of a good thing though, as the concert was/is on my grandsons birthday, and that didn't click until the venue told me they were sold out. Moral of the story - pay attention to NEXT years tour schedule, EARLIER!!!
