@@michealrieck977 I am 59 and doing my best to play drums like a beast. The foot work for two bass drums is so much different than the feel of the high hat. Your left foot ends up needing to be the best coordinated, which isn't the case for me, though I am left handed, I play instruments right handed, because I was just copying those who inspired me and never considered there were instruments for left handers. I play golf and hockey right handed as well. My left hand has the best snare coordination and my right hand has the best ride cymbal coordination and I am trying so hard to match both hands and feet to be able to play the same stuff. I am so happy that 71 isn't a limit in drumming. I very much appreciate the idea we can do this a very long time.

I cannot believe that I had recently heard of Todd, say 4 - 5 months ago. I am 55 and grew up with great drummers in the late 70's and into the 80's, with Neil Peart being the inspiration for me taking up drums. I am no pro, I hobby drum; somewhere down the line I must have got lost and never picked up on Todd or his work. I do believe it was a Styx video I was watching when I first saw him play and was completely blown away by his timing, accuracy, intonation and creativity within a song. I believe there are those who learn to play drums; then there are those who play the drums. This guy just plays WITH the drums with complete mastery. So glad I found him.

How wonderful it is to watch an American drummer develop patterns, phrases etc from the basic rhythmic cell of samba. The result of this study, proven in this incredible drum solo, is spectacular. THANK YOU Drumeo for bringing Todd back again! Phenomenal talent- and I gotta say, for me: the singular reason why I'm re-energized to revisit the great songs that Styx create. Todd's drumming made me binge watch/listen ALL his stuff!; he's so good! A COMPLETE drummer....because he can do it all. The tom work reminded me of Danny Carey.....the polyrhythms, odd times, tonalities, POWER, "clean-ness". And the fucking drums sound great!!! Great micing/post for sounds.

Beautiful. Tasteful. Inspiring. Truly one of the best solos I've seen a quite some time. It doesn't go over the top... but it does not need to be! That is the thing most other drummers don't realize. This was obviously amazing, but Todd your 2017 solo was the most staggeringly perfect piece of drumming I’ve ever seen. I’ve played it thousands and thousands of times and shown countless friends. The most amazing thing for me is if you metronome the beat or clap, you sustain the tempo throughout - even through the fills and thrills. Not only that, but the beat tells a story, as you finish on the hook you started with. Absolutely outstanding and you bet your sweet ass I’m gonna watch it right after I’ve pressed ‘send’ on this comment.
