I like warmer toned flashlights because they're actually better, your eyes are tuned to see farther with red or warm light. would be cool if this had a low power red beam, but this flashlight is great as it is

the real test, can you put it in your mouth, sometimes you need 2 hands and still need light, I assume a lighter flashlight made of plastic won't be too terrible compared to aluminum

Definitely dated. I’ve used them for a while and they are well made. However, they don’t have the features of many newer lights. I’d suggest looking at some of the newer Rovyvon lights. You might find the Rovyvon E8 interesting since it’s a hybrid power supply.

I've seen those, from the E1, E3, E5, and up. I wonder what the stats are when running the single AAA.
