The thing that totally discredited the states case to me was they were saying that two guys who met randomly at a party who didn't know one another at all, spoke for 30 minutes and agreed to do a gang bang/homicide (no evidence of this conspiracy, they just made it up) and they were only going to charge one of them. That made no sense at all.

He’s covered a few cases where the psychics delayed the case as they were giving wrong ‘information’. One was the poor girl who was held captive and saw on tv a psychic telling her mum she was already dead. Her mum was devastated and died before the girl could get free. The pain these either delusional or corrupt individuals cause is inexcusable especially as they target vulnerable people

@@tankthearc9875- A juror in the first trial said that Emanuel was guilty because he could tell by looking at him - "he was a thug with tattoos." When his "reasoning" was questioned, the juror said that "Someone had to pay for what was done to this young woman. And if Emanuel didn't actually commit the crime, he could just get the conviction overturned on appeal." (like it's so easy to get criminal convictions overturned, innocent people haven't spent years and even decades in prison before getting a wrongful conviction overturned, etc.). That explains why the police and prosecutors just pivoted to making a case against Emanuel. It's typically easy to get a conviction when you have bigoted, otherwise biased, and woefully ignorant people on juries. So really, it was a matter of some jurors being good. Some were terrible (as planned).

I find it unlikely that someone would ask "what if I did it, and I just dont remember?" who was the perpetrator of the act. Not that it clears him of guilt, but I'm sure it would be difficult for anyone to act normally when someone you had feelings for was murdered and you might be a suspect, especially after she apparently was hooking up with another man that night. I can see an innocent person thinking "oh my god... did I go into a blind rage?" and truly worry about everything.

This case is maddening! Arpana's family must be very frustrated. I agree that a conspiracy between Emanuel and Cameron seems unlikely. Didn't you say that Cameron got jealous when he would see her talking to other guys? A jealous guy like that wouldn't want to share her even in a crime, I wouldn't think, but in saying that, how did both of their DNAs end up on the can of oil? My theory is Cameron got jealous when he saw her interacting with guys at the party. He may have been tired of rejection and took his pent up frustration out on her that night. It's just a hypothetical but I hope they catch the real killer whoever he is. Arpana deserves justice.

I think there is plenty of reasonable doubt in the culpability of Emmanuel Fair. Furthermore, the investigation did a terrible job. For instance, with so many people coming and going DNA evidence should certainly be taken with a grain of salt. The hiring of a psychic to help with the investigation speaks volumes, it appears that they wanted to close a complex case without going through the necessary lengths to do so. This is a very interesting case, Dr. Grande. I wonder if you would be inclined to cover it in your podcast, at some point.🙂 Fantastic analysis as usual! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.❤

I had to look him up too. I lived in Pincher Creek at the time and the MacNaughton's were family acquaintances. Pam MacNaughton, one of his defense lawyer's daughters is apparently going to produce a podcast going over his case.

I feel as though Cameron had more of a motive to commit this crime, he was pursuing her romantically/sexually for some time, he may have felt knocked back that last time and he knew there would be many other suspects and DNA in the apartment which gives for easy opportunity. Why would he call her phone if he heard what he thought was her having sex at 3am? You wouldn’t interrupt and maybe if she was having sex with someone he felt angered enough to attack her afterwards..

that sounds plausible. i was thinking the same thing! even if she had been assaulted, his account of the noises he apparently heard mean he may have gotten jealous once more. if he were to find her body, even, i think he may have abused it. that's assuming he happened upon it rather than committed the murder. what you say, though, makes sense! if she might've gotten with emmanuel that night consenually, and he didn't really explain because he didn't trust the cops to consider him fairly or something. and then, out of jealousy, cameron committed the crime. both of our theories make more sense than the prosecution's haha! it's awful that they didn't serve her the justice she deserved.

While Arpana and Emanuel was constructing their "construction worker" outfit, he was able to pocket an extra boot lace (probably a leather one). This idea sets up the MO to have his way with her later on when she got drunk. The other dude tried to cover it up for his buddy.

How can we let people cross something that's not a country yet? Lol how did we do it for hundreds of years fella? Simply not possible. Please explain . I love a good yard! You need to call Trudeau, he could use some new talking points. Wow we're really old. My comment was more of a reflection of people don't think they need passports to either country, we had Canadian killers do it too. It's funny. I go across the border all the time, in fact 2 relatives work there. You needed driver's license before 911, now we both need a passport. Obviously during trading we were a tad different world.
