@dhernandez4386 will my only negative impression of Ryan was that he took too much screen time in the first Deadpool sequel. I think time given to other characters like Negasonic and Yu-Gi-Oh would have improved the film. He's a funny guy but he just felt like he stayed too long during that sequel. I didn't notice the issue with the third movie but there he had a pretty powerful co-star to protect his own screen time.

I am team Justin. His life has been destroyed, and his only option is to fight back. He did not do much fighting during the making of the film because he was, in my opinion, intimidated by all the power the opposing team held, and he only wanted to complete this movie. I think Blake is a monster and her husband is no better. I only hope justice will come.

Lady Colin Campbell claims to have sources “inside” Blake Lively’s camp. She said that Blake was attracted to Justin Baldoni, but he rejected her. Ryan was suspicious and demanded to see the dailies from ‘It Ends With Us.’ He went “ballistic” when he saw Blake flirting with Justin. It reminded him of Blake’s behaviour on the set of ‘Green Lantern’ when she seduced him (he was married to Scarlett Johansson at that time). To save her marriage, Blake LIED and said that Justin had been harassing her. 😔 I think it’s truly evil. She is trying to destroy an innocent man’s life and livelihood - Justin’s ability to provide for his young family - all so that she can save her own skin.

I believe Grande is wrong in one aspect: He didn't consider Justin's situation as a unknown director trying to complete this work while being overwhelmed with Blake & Ryan. Dr. Grande put out an earlier video siding with Blake, before Justin filed & brought receipts. Now Dr G basically says he is in the middle, as if both are right and both are wrong. I can see his bias, the areas he chooses to focus on and the conclusions he chooses to make. As Dr Grande says, its his opinion, doesn't mean its right. Justin putting up with Blake's antics was because hundreds of millions of $$ were on the line. And his strategy worked, the movie cost 25 mil & made over 300 mil. He brought receipts and kept audio in case Blake acted out, which she did after all of her media mistakes from the past were exposed & she couldn't accept the public disapproval and hit to her image. Dr Grande's input here does not do this case justice and it is not objective, in my view.

Hmmm… I disagree. I don’t think Justin going to the basement was an admission of culpability. Regarding your assessment of Justin’s actions - “if he had done nothing wrong, why didn’t his lawyers take care of it?” I think you missed the important power dynamic complexity of the situation. You have one person who is relatively unknown and has an empathetic personality. Then you have another that is very powerful, wealthy and has a reputation for bullying and mean behaviour. This case both resonates and angers people because people can see through Blake’s behaviour and don’t like it when we are told our legitimate assessment of a person are incorrect and are instead the result of a smear campaign.

From what I understand Justin couldn’t really stand up to Blake because Sony the distributor of the film wanted to please Ryan Reynolds who is a mega star and is going to star as Deadpool in the next Spider-Man movie. They also have a number of other projects with Ryan. I think Sony thought it was better to give in to Blake and her dragons (Taylor Swift also allowed a song of hers to be used in the movie) than support Justin a relatively small fry. Second, a lot of the crew was under financial pressure(many hadn’t worked in ages and had bills to pay) after the strike and were now just returning to work and so Justin likely wanted to get the movie done and released and avoid hurting the crew and everyone else financially. Also, this was Justin’s first time directing and his inexperience and niceness allowed them to take advantage of him.

What is a crime, is lying about about s***** harassment & breaching your contract, including during the writer’s strike w someone (Ryan) who wasn’t hired as part of the film. Blake is toast & I’m unfortunately disappointed in your take, Dr. Grande. Justice for Justin.

Yeah, I'm also a psychologist and I'm surprised by this take. Justin seems like someone who will do anything to keep the peace, an enabler even. He was walking a tightrope trying to pacify her and get the film done. She's showing narcissistic traits. It can be difficult for "nice" people to navigate those behaviors. The mere fact that she asked him and his entire family to go down to the basement is ludicrous! Especially given the evidence we've seen.

Dr. Grande, I think the reason why Justin didn't show more resolve and stand up to Blake as you say, is not just about the fear of losing money, it's about his values and religious conviction not to go into conflict and do the best to keep the unity. I read the text messages it think it was when Blake was editing the film and he said something like the best thing to do spiritually is to "suck it up" and be proud that we have "the baby", even if it didn't become quite what they envisioned. Also backbiting and slander is strongly condemned in his religion and according to his attorney Bryan Freedman, Justin said from the getgo that he wanted no bad publicity nothing bad to happen to Blake. That was until Blake filed the legal complaint and Justin then had to defend his reputation, career and fight for justice. I also don't understand how you can say that he may have countered "a few retaliation claims".

You failed to see the power dynamic Blake and Ryan had over Justin - and Justin's desire to appease Blake at every turn for the sake of the movie. Grande - If you think for a moment that Baldoni is on equal footing with the bullies Reynolds/Swift/Lively, then you're a bit out of touch. If Baldoni's allegations are true, then he had little option but to cave to demands and sit in the background and go along with things or he's forced to sue an actor for breach of contract mid-project, which would lose him millions. Baldoni doesn't have the money to ramp up movies and then fight with the movie's star and her dragons. Seems to me that Justin did what he had to in order to get the project wrapped up. It also seems that Lively sees herself as a major start that can push around a director and those who fund the project. She isn't. But, she has dragons who give her more clout that she should have based on talent.

My analysis is as follows: what is the real underlying hidden motivation of Blake to create all this drama? It is alleged she was using this movie to get herself a producing credit and to start directing. Also, it is alleged Blake and Ryan wanted to buy the rights to the sequel so she could be the producer, director and star. Justin did not want to sell the rights to the sequel. It has been reported that Blake was trying to get the righty by activating the morals clause in the contract. If this was the motive, Blake had been manipulating everything for a long time. Just a theory based on reports. Allegedly.

Dr. Grande, while I appreciate some of the points you brought up in your analysis, I believe you overlooked several important nuances that significantly affect this case. 1. This marked Justin Baldoni’s inaugural solo project, a significant turning point in his career. He embraced a leadership role dedicated to valuing and amplifying women's experiences and insights. With a strong desire for collaboration and teamwork, he envisioned a cooperative endeavor; however, he found himself unprepared for the challenges ahead. 2. He has consistently dedicated himself to encouraging others and fostering peace and understanding in his personal and professional endeavors. 3. Regrettably, Blake took advantage of Baldoni's inherent idealism and naive trust, skillfully manipulating his earnest aspiration to create meaningful and positive change in the world. 4. Additionally, Justin lacked experience in navigating the complexities of what turned out to be a hostile takeover, which left him vulnerable to manipulation. 5. While Blake is entitled to advocate for a more favorable deal, there is a clear line between negotiation and unethical behavior, which she crossed in this instance. 6. It’s puzzling that an individual known for documented falsehoods seems to hold an advantage in your view. Your evaluation of Baldoni appears to be influenced by bias, as it seems rooted in assumptions rather than facts. In stark contrast, we can observe Blake engaging in deceptive practices and manipulating the truth. While I often agree with your evaluations, in this instance, I feel compelled to respectfully disagree with your conclusions.

Exactly. Why couldn't a psychiatrist like Dr. Grande understand that lack of initial resistance from Baldoni may be explained by a personality profile (idealist, agreeable) as well as the context where it would have been tone deaf to engage in confrontation during a promotion he wanted focused on domestic violence?
@kgjones5

I agree completely. I think Justin’s commitment to the project for reasons related to his personal values as well as his public statements about avoiding “toxic masculinity” while making the film before Blake was even attached to the project pushed him into a corner. He was afraid that he would look like a toxic patriarchal man if he fought back against Blake’s takeover, so he tried to just pacify her and Ryan and get it finished. Also, Justin is a relative nobody in Hollywood who was probably afraid to anger a well-connected power couple who was bullying him. He was getting along to get along, but it backfired. Ironic that Blake and Ryan used the exact type of toxic strategies that Justin was trying to avoid against him.

Amidst all the other speculations It is very clear that Lively wanted to completely take over production of It Ends With Us. She wanted her own franchise that would make her billions as well as secure her position as an A lister. Ryan Reynolds did this exact same thing in the Deadpool franchise, he kicked Tim Miller to the curve and got an executive producer credit on the second movie giving him status to take full control for the 3rd one. But, this case was different, Justin Baldoni was extremely passionate about this movie and its message. This caused a bit of resistance from Justin when Blake wanted control making her hate him for it. In the end she wanted to completely destroy him because she didn’t really get what she wanted but she did it to herself. Her biggest mistake was trying to capitalize from a movie about serious issues and topic, while making the marketing upbeat and careless. There is a good video on the steps that Ryan & Blake took to take full control of the movie in the @Bopping channel

I was then attacked by Blake Lively sycophants who came to Lively's defense. Now, the truth is coming out and it's ugly. Lively has already lied and in a court of law, if one thing is false, everything else false (Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus). Blake has amber herd type tendencies. At least she appears to from the texts i’ve seen and the blatant lies about the scene where they were dancing. I don’t understand where she gets off making edits and calling meetings. She freaked out when she was politely praised for her passion for the craft instead of just blindly being told oh your scene is so much better than what we had planned. We’ll just do that instead. From what i’ve seen justin looks like a push over. Apologizing and apologizing and complimenting and complimenting her. She should have been told “thank you for your input, if I can use any of it i’ll let you know.” Instead of all the butt kissing he did. Where does she get off making an edit at all let alone demanding it be used? She even refused to let the editor or justin review film. I didn’t know either of these people before this started. But after seeing the lawsuit and texts/footage I don’t like either of them. Blake for being an entitled mean girl. Typical out of touch celebrity. And justin for repeatedly butt kissing instead of being the director. All the fake compliments are gross.

Dr. Grande, it seems you do not understand the concept of the JINXED film production. When a major star does not want meet the demands of her contract and leaves the production, the film is irrevocably seen as JINXED and is expected by the media to lose money even before it releases. Don't you see the power imbalance here? Baldoni and even Sony danced to the tunes of Lively. Baldoni already had an edit that got great test scores. But Blake gave an ultimatum that only her edit should be used and Sony had to agree because if Blake spoke badly about the film's team, it would taint the movie even before its release. Baldoni and Sony had no option.

I feel like you got this wrong. Now that I’ve done such a deep dive on all the drama, I can’t help but see that Justin has seemingly done nothing wrong. This guy is ridiculousy nice. You should really watch Candace Owens video on this. Specifically the one where she does a timeline breakdown of anything and everything related to this situation. It’s really been eye opening to me and has allowed me to see how Blake really was more than cool with Justin and filming until something flipped when her husband got home from filming. And now suddenly she’s doing 180s like demanding an intimacy coordinator when in the past saying she didn’t need one. Something sketchy was going on and I highly recommend watching Candace for more information. And btw, it’s alleged here that the reason Justin cowtowed and went to the basement for the premiere, is that Blake threatened Sony that if they didn’t do what she asked she’d leak that Justin was a sexual harasser to the New York Times. Because of this I believe Sony told Justin about this and asked him to do as she wished to save the movie and themselves. (Btw …the trainer on set was actually Blake and Ryans trainer-being loaned to Justin. So it was very likely him who immediately ran and told Blake that Justin asked about her weight. So shady.)

No, Blake is a bully and a brat. When she was a kid she had mommy and daddy as her dragons (dad an actor, mom a casting agent). Now she USES her husband and TS to bully people to make sure she gets what she wants.

My question is, did Blake think that he would not fight back? That he would just want to settle and make it go away fast?

Yes!!! She thought she was untouchable. To powerful. Never under estimate the power of an underdog. Justin had her number from the get-go, thus the meticulous records he noted and saved.

Allegedly, BL never signed the contract, which gave her the power to walk away, costing JB and Wayfarer millions they couldn't afford to lose Hopefully, JB now knows not to spend a cent or a second on an actor until the contract is signed. Hope

Her jerking him around not signing contract was clue #1 she was going to be a nightmare 🚩the studio should’ve insisted on a recast at that point.

Coleen Hoover asked Justin to play the male lead. Justin B bought the rights to the movie and sequel. BL and RR want the sequel. So they trumped up these charges/allegations.

The sad part was Coleen believed them and made a post supporting Blake. I think she deleted her Instagram later on. One can only hope she realized her mistake.

What mistake does he think Justin made. Besides being too pacifying. The conclusion isn’t supported by any details, or facts that Justin did anything wrong. I’m open to proof of anything but nothing was said about him doing something wrong and yet conclusion is about both of them being in the wrong. What aspect of the story supports that conclusion.

She is passive aggressive she makes fun of someone. When they hear it and look at her. Her response is ‘Just Kidding’. Blake thinks she is funny because she said it. Everyone just goes along with her terrible behavior even if it is recorded. She has had had people fired for looking at her She used Taylor Swift to act as standing up for her and Ryan. But Taylor said forget that. .

I don’t think it as easy as one might think - being able to force someone to act because there is a contract. She could have made up many things (like she eventually did after the movie) to drag it out; costing Justin and everyone else involved in the movie. He took the best route he could.

@ I’m no expert just my opinion 😅 she made the whole thing about her and promoting her brands and it feels like she took what was a friendship in baldonis eyes and turned it on him publicly using details he shared in confidence, very high school mean girl behavior. And it’s just all the footage of how nasty she was on the press circuit, would be sweating if I was a reporter told to go interview her! And the dragons thing?! Ughhh so cringe lol but hey I’m just a normal person so that’s my observation as an avid people watcher lol what do you think? Maybe I just think baldoni seems like a nicer person🤷‍♀️ lol I may be biased

you missed the entire forest looking at the trees guy. This is not even close to a tie. She had no right to bamboozle her way into taking over HIS production. Full stop. When he tried to steer things back to the script she didn't like that her wants were not immediately accepted. She also pressured him into changing parts of the script by using her so called dragons. He should sue her for more than what he is now because she tried to destroy this man's career and relationship. He is a young director/producer. She knew what she was doing.
