Mann-Whitney U Test in Excel

This was a great video explaining the Mann-Whitney U test and how it is used as an alternative to determine the difference between two levels of treatment as measured on the dependent variable. You can use the Mann-Whitney test if data is not normally distributed for each level and if it violates the assumption for normal distribution. It was interesting to see how comparing the lower of the two U statistics to the critical value can determine whether you reject or accept the null hypothesis.

This video was helpful in demonstrating how to use a Mann-Whitney U test when you're not using an independent samples t-test. As always, I seem to understand the walk throughs a little better through excel than in SPSS.

That is interesting that Excel is easier for you to understand. I found that SPSS seems easier for me to understand. I appreciate that there are videos on both Excel and SPSS. Being able to walk through the steps slowly is very helpful as well.

This video was very helpful! What should I do in case I have three treatments? Should I compare them one on one, seperately or is it possible to perform a Mann-Whithney U test with three U-values?

I think that is an interesting question, and I would like to know how to compare three treatments as well using this test. It would be helpful to show a video on that also.
