Relationship lesson #1, If the relationship ever gets physically violent during an argument, leave the relationship. It will only get worse over time.

@@diabloakland go to a womens center, any church, ask for help and it will come, someone will refer you somewhere, and doors will open. Of course it will be very uncomfortable and scary ... but .... It will only get uglier and more miserable because of both parties are damaged by life and are stuck in a groove they cannot get out of. Even In the best of relationships there is much misery because human beings alway feel they are the guilty party because we all feel not good enough, and compensate for this in weird ways. But its not about shame and guilt, its about healing, thereby learning to treat others and be treated with human decency. Sometimes it takes years to get the glitches out of all of us. There is a saying that at some point there are no victims, only volunteers.

It almost never starts whit physical violence. Saying things like, leave after the first punch.. that comes from not understanding abuse. Abuse is so much more than physical violence. Often it starts whit control.the perpetrator controlling what you are doing, calling all day, asking what you are doing, whit who, when you’re coming home. They separate you from family and friends, because that don’t like you being around them. Maybe take control over your money.. They put you down, calling you names, making you feel smaller and smaller.. So when the physical violence begins.. The victim for the most part can’t just leave..

The part about this that makes me think he did something is that his parents are protecting him. They lawyered up before even reporting the girl missing , knowing full well she wasn’t coming home. In many of these crime cases , we see parents who enable their children to act terribly and get away with it and this is what it appears is happening here as well .

Especially when his parents are parents themselves. They can imagine what torture it must feel like to not know what's happened to your child. To allow that torture to continue for Gabby's parents is downright disgusting. From one parent to another, they should be helping find Gabby and bringing answers to her family, not help their son evade justice. If the son was innocent and they believed him, they'd be doing everything they can to find her and prove his innocence. Actions speak louder than words.

Brian's unhelpful stance and retention of counsel suggests that Gabby is dead. Were she still alive when he left her he would certainly cooperate with the police. I get the picture that Gabby was a basket case and Brian wasn't far behind. Quite possibly, Brian snapped. Then he ran home in the van and, being naive and dependent, took advice from his parents. The DA does not need a body to charge Brian. The DA needs to put some heat under his feet.

In my nearly 35 years of adult relationships, I have only heard two women tell me that their significant other threatened or actually abandoned them. The first was a college friend who was driven to a remote area and told to have sex or get out and walk home. She was in a foreign country at them time, in an unfamiliar and remote location, and dressed in a skirt and heels. Her "date" was a local. In the second case, a woman friend got into an argument with her husband late one evening while they were preparing for bed. She was dressed in a night gown and barefooted. He forced her outside in temperatures below 50 degrees with no shoes, no coat, and no keys. He then locked the door and went to bed. When I was on a business trip with a male coworker, we shared on rental car. As we were pulling into the client building, he said something to me like "put up or get out". I thought I misunderstood him and asked him to repeat it. He said, "Didn't you ever go out with a guy who told you to put out or get out of his car?" I told him yes but what made him think I would let him get away with it. I was reassigned at the end of the week. This kind of behavior, threatening to abandon a woman in a situation in which they cannot keep themselves safe is abuse the same as if he beat her. And it should be viewed in same context as a threat to hit your significant other.

NO. LETS BE CLEAR: It’s an attempt and threat to cause severe harm or death to the person by putting them in danger by abandonment. That is indeed a very good test, especially for those in long term relationships. It becomes abundantly clear if the problems in relationships are caused by lack of love and understanding or other external stresses. If it's external factors and you get away from those, you will usually get along just fine and have a good time. If it's lack of love, it's going to become crystal clear by the way your partner treats you and vice versa.

You overlooked one very big factor; Brian drove home to Florida in Gabby’s van without Gabby! If she wandered off, disappeared, or vanished into thin air, why would Brian leave for Florida in her van without her and without notifying anyone in Wyoming that she was missing? No calls home or to her parents or local authorities? No search parties, nothing! That’s because he knew she was dead before he left Wyoming! You don’t just leave a loved one stranded in a far away state, take their car and say nothing and just go home and get a lawyer! She wasn’t declared missing for 11 days! Brian was involved in her death, accidental or otherwise! End of story!

My knee-jerk reaction when first hearing about this was “balloon boy” all over again to promote their channel. After watching the body cam video and learning more, I think this guy did something to her. In that video, two things that he said stood-out to me. 1: He called her crazy and 2: He admitted to pushing her. I think it’s likely that he pushed her again, only this time it was over a cliff or into a fissure. Whatever the case, the outcome of this is not going to be good, I’m sorry to say. One more thing, the video revealed that, even though he was trying to act diplomatic, he was blaming her and she was blaming herself for everything. Sound familiar?

@SongWhisperer
@SongWhisperer 3 жыл бұрын
Ya really, only a crazy person would want to talk to the cops. The cops have a terrible track-record for twisting suspects words and creating false narratives just to make the investigation gel with their theories. The cops have gotten so bad at corrupting investigations that even the Supreme Court says to never talk to the cops without an attorney present, my guess is that Brian’s lawyer has advised him to shut his mouth so they can put a case together for the trial. There’s only a few options of what could have happened to Gabby, maybe in her poor mental state she killed herself or she took off (without telling Brian) and left with an unknown person or maybe she’s lost somewhere not really knowing who or where she is and Brian really doesn’t know where she is either. Or - Brian planned Gabby’s murder and set everything up to look like it was Gabby’s fault and not his, Brian might have instigated the fight between Gabby and hisself the day the cops pulled them over and Brian made it look like Gabby was the abuser with poor mental health and a history of hitting Brian so he can set up a self defence case for court or make it look like there was some kind of accident that happened during one of Gabby’s freak outs (alleged freak outs) and the 2 girls from the hotel were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and Brian killed the 2 girls to get rid of witnesses. Or - Brian was planning this murder for awhile and he killed the 2 girls to make it look like there’s a local murderer killing women and it would throw the cops off his trail. Either way, Brian and most likely the lawyer knows what happened to Gabby and the information the lawyer & Brian has is very incriminating to the case so they’re avoiding law enforcement at all cost. The fact that the lawyer won’t tell the cops anything (even though attorney client privilege is invoked) probably means that whatever it is that they know isn’t good because with Brian’s permission the lawyer could have at least told the cops of Gabby’s last known position before Gabby and Brian went their separate ways, not even doing that simple kind act for the family probably means that whatever the outcome is it won’t be good for Gabby or Brain. I also heard another theory that some psychos might have killed the 2 girls and kidnapped Gabby & Brian and they let Brian go to gather up some ransom money to save Gabby and himself and that’s why the lawyer and Brian’s family are being so hush hush because they don’t want anything bad to happen to Gabby. Of course I know this is a big stretch but in this crazy world you just never know what is fiction and what is reality. Anyway, now that I left you a short novel (LoL) tell me what you think (only if you want to).

Brian looks closer to 33 years old than 23 years old. EDIT: Everybody thinks I was focusing on his baldness. First off, I am not making fun of his baldness at all. I was just stating what I think is a fact. He just looks much older than his age. Having now seen many different videos and pictures of Brian I stand by my statement even more. He seems to have crows feet by the eyes, which doesn't mean you are old, but when you combine that with his balding, and an overall bit of weathering to his face (probably from spending most of his time outdoors in the elements) it certainly gives him an appearance of someone who is closer to 33 than 23.

Gabby called her family on August 25th. Both of these happened around Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. While some have theorized that he hauled her body along his return drive and dumped her out along the route, that doesn't fit the TikTok story very well. While I agree that would be the "right" thing to do, it also would place him at the scene or confirm he is a suspect in this case. He's already a person of interest, however admitting anything would make him a suspect (especially if it lead to locating her, either dead or alive). I'm not saying that what he is doing is right, because he needs to talk. Even if he legitimately is NOT involved in her disappearance (although I speculate he is in at least some fashion) but that his unwillingness to cooperate isn't entirely out of the ordinary either. What I do find suspicious is that now he's also "missing". Which to me, screams that he knows something, he knows with all the searches going on, they're going to find something, and it's going to link back to him in some way. Trust me, I'm in agreement with you. If he knows, he should admit where he last saw her. There is a slim chance she is still alive and could be rescued. But as the experts have said, each day that goes by greatly increases the chance of finding her alive at lot lower, and she's supposedly been gone I think about 2 weeks now according to other news and articles.

The most interesting aspect of this very fine review of the facts was the information concerning the trip home in August. Brian almost certainly knows what happened to Gabby, and it is just as clear that he expects to be charged when this becomes a murder case. The strategy is pretty clear, under no circumstances will he hand the police anything, he is placing all his money on the presumption that sufficient evidence does not exist to convict him.

For one thing he was smiling and joking much of the time which isn't typical/normal behavior in a stressful situation in my opinion. Also Brian would not pull over....according to the cop "they knew I was behind them" The fact that he wouldn't pull over is obviously what prompted Gabby to try to force him to pull over (seems logical). I'm so curious why his refusal to pull over was not treated as a problem by the cops. Nor was he cited for speeding (45 in a 25...or was it 15 mph). Last but not least he was trying to be charming with the officers, asking them random questions about themselves etc...that behavior seemed suspicious also.

They end up getting into another heated argument and I think something accidentally happened.. his actions afterwards just don’t make sense. But the video from the police shows no indication that he’s a murderer and she was much was the aggressor. I really hope the family gets some answers bc there’s so much that doesn’t make sense.

With your logic, we'd be putting every attorney in jail that defended a guilty client. The crime if there was one was already committed, so the parents would just be considered an accessory after the fact. Punishments for aiding and abetting can be just as bad as murder, helping after the fact, that be considered a misdemeanor in some cases, or even if a felony, no where near anything with significant charges to the others. You'd also have to prove intent and knowledge the parents had of the crime, and even if they did, you really think they wouldn't lie and say their son told them something different? There is a video online of witnesses to an incident on 8/27 where Brian was yelling at restaurant staff after being told to leave due to his aggressive behavior. He re-entered the restaurant 4 times to yell and throw a fit while Gabbie was outside crying. She finally followed him back into the restaurant and begged him to leave while apologizing to the hostess. There are interviews with her friend saying Brain was controlling and jealous and at least 10 times in the past few months before they started the trip they had huge fights over his jealousy and control issues. Also her dad had stated she worked and saved for 18 months to do the trip, The van was hers. Brain only had a cell phone owned by her and actually bought his own phone after September first when he left her and drove her van to Florida. lots of evidence of his controlling behavior. Brian’s not speaking to authorities and already lawyered up. Gabby is missing in the vast and desolate wilderness. Under these circumstances it’ll be impossible to find her. It’s obvious he’s guilty but unfortunately I think he’ll be able to use the legal system to his advantage.

A wild theory: he didn’t believe her blog would be successful, she got the idea of disappearing and reappearing at a later time to get famous. They fought over it on 8/12. Next, they split, he flows back and moves her stuff out. But, she talks to him and convince him to fly back. They implement the plan, he rushes home to his parents so he can receive her calls on the landline (from phone booths o assume), and stays mum. The police wants to talk to him and he hires a lawyer because he doesn’t want to commit perjury. She convinces him to run back to her again. In 10 days, he’ll come back with her, saying that he’s found her. She’ll have her fame, nobody could be charged with perjury.

As someone who is building their own van right now, I was shocked when I saw their setup. It's 'cute' and looks nice but isn't super functional - they sort of just slapped some wood panels directly onto the metal and called it a day - no insulation despite going to Utah in the summer! Even as just a solo traveller, I said hell no to a ford transit because even for me it was too small! Can't imagine two people in there, at that point all you can fit is a bed and that's it. It didn't seem like they were particularly predisposed to camping either - there was a clip in her youtube video where it's pouring down while she sits in the tent, and it doesn't seem like they bothered to add a rain fly to the tent. So weird that he flew back home mid-trip, but I suppose if it was to 'separate' for a bit after the August 12 incident, thinking they just needed space, but maybe things just got worse when they reunited.

Every time I see a van like their's, I instantly think of Gabby. 😞💔 This all could have been prevented if the cops had cared enough to separate the two and ask Brian more questions. But sadly, as usual, the person most upset is blamed for everything so the police might have thought Gabby was the problem. Even she blamed herself. Still breaks my heart in 2024. 💔 I hope this never happens to anyone else. I hope police will get more training to detect the signs of domestic violence, too.
