I don't understand why the waste yarn is needed? I must be missing something obvious. The slippers look lovely - they're actually the same colour as my business logo. I love those colours together. Can these be made for adults please? x

I have an adult pattern on my channel. You will find them there. Waste yarn is used so that you can easily see the stitches you want to join to make a flat edge.

How could I make these on the Sentro 48? It's the only machine I have.... I wonder if I could make a panel and double the length and fold it in half since I wouldn't have a tube. What do you think?

Make a panel the same number of needles as I use but use the same row count. Then fold it width wise and sew into a tube.

@@raquelreyes8573 no it does not. The 40 needle wouldn’t be the best size to buy. If you just one one machine and a cheaper one, purchase the 48 needle sentro. Then she can make beanies. The 40 needle will only fit a toddler and younger size head. The 40 needle is great for scarves and ear warmers though. Most patterns that she will find on KZbin are on the bigger machine and with the 22 needle as well for smaller parts. If she wants it mostly for scarves and ear warmers then the 40 needle is great. Blankets can also be made just using several of the one size tube that the 40 needle creates. The Sentro 48 needle has a counter but they are terrible on every machine and do not last long. On the 22 needle ? Only if you invisible stitch two tubes together. Still might not be wise enough. Check out my pattern made in the 46 needle. It’s on my channel.

I foundthat knitted slippers can be slippery on a smooth surface,so I stopped making them for kids. Kids run. 🙂 Have you had any comments on this?

You can use a product to put on the bottom for no slipping. I use it on my csm socks for the older folks.

I find they slip as well. Puff paint dots on the bottom is an option.
