Two full time working adults and a house to maintain. Not always realistic. At least Ms Rachel is educational. It's unfortunate I'll have to be more cautious going forward. To be clear we play with our daughter as much as we can and because of that and us only allowing her to watch educational stuff she's not quite 2 and more advanced than any 3 year old we've met

My child watches noggin and Paramount Plus. They have some excellent children's shows. He prefers playing outside and being active, but there are times when he does want to sit down and watch something. I monitor what he watches very closely. The only thing he watches on KZbin is the dodo channel with all the animals. He used to watch cartoons on there until I started seeing a lot of very inappropriate stuff on it. I put a stop to it, but he loves the baby animals, so I sit and watch it with him when we choose to watch something. There's nothing wrong with playing on a tablet or watching cartoons when it's done in moderation.

Not always, by no means. But I believe I have seen enough to say that it *mostly* always consists of one side of the political spectrum. We get obvious stuff like the whole catholic church debacles, but especially recently even they seem politically more aligned with the whims of the EU and they lean heavy left. Just an observation I have personally have. I truly hope it is simply just my own limited experiences but I am getting very tired of it regardless. As if anyone needed another reason to be mad at liberals after what they have done to our greatest states and now country. I have only been a Democrat for about 12 years now but I have noticed they really do like to incorporate children into everything they do even 5-6 year olds, I witness this from media sure, but I see it at their DNC events live and in person also, it is so very disturbing. I feel torn on the matter.

Mr. Rodgers sang a song called: Boys are Boys and Girls are Girls, right from the start. There’s also an interview with him where he talks about that song and says we have to be careful when we tell children they can be anything because they may begin to think that they can actually change from one gender into another. I wasn’t so bothered by Jewels because they treated the show with respect and no politics. A child likely wouldn’t know the difference until they were quite a bit older. So fun fact, I work as cashier at a craft store. I have babies that react to me as well. Even in the same way they're automatically perk up and smile. They stop crying all these things, right? She does it, by her pitch of her voice. It's a very high pitch and they can understand it better. They can actually hear It better. So, with their ear canals developing. Still, they don't hear the softer or lower voices as well. They hear the more high-pitched voices. So the more high-pitched you are but also calm. The more the children and babies respond. I do this all the time when I'm helping out at the register. And if I have a kid screaming, crying, or freaking out for no reason or just want attention. I just pitched my voice a little bit higher than my normal customer service voice snd I go hi, how are you? such a cutie pie. Are you okay? And they immediately stop crying, so I have kids that recognize me by my voice alone. She's not special. She just knows how to pitch her voice that's all.

Which is why they do it, of course. The earlier you expose a forming mind to such things, the more normal they think it is. Yes i know it still exists but he did also said "early" and i guess i know what he likes to point on. To work with the children and to include them in the show even in front of a tv set. And of course the content of what was aired. But whatever you do and hower you do it, it all needs the presence of the family, or at least a part of. My 15 month old granddaughter enjoys Ms Rachel. We watched it together to encourage her to talk. Her mom would turn it on while she prepared dinner. It used to be safe. BUT, her messaging about PRIDE month implied that anyone who had a problem with her support of PRIDE was not standing with love. That was an unnecessarily passive aggressive stance. There's no room in that statement for a difference of opinion. It was very intolerant and geared to shut down discussion. BUT, that pales in comparison to inviting Dylan M onto the show. In addition to being in woman face, he presents women as being vapid, promiscuous, mentally unwell and silly. Even if he was a biological woman he wouldn't be a role model for young girls. What was she thinking with that invitation? She is no longer a safe choice for us. And I'm offended enough by the whole thing to not turn her on ever.

As a child care provider of over 20 years from ages ranging from 3 months all the way up to 8 years, anybody can really be Ms Rachel If you have a love of teaching children. I remember being pregnant over a year ago and one of my sisters telling me about Miss Rachel. I honestly had no clue who she was talking about. She proceeded to tell me about her and How amazing she was and how I should have my baby watch her. I then thought to myself is she for real? 🤔 I let her speak and when she was done, I looked at her dead in the face and said I am Ms Rachel! I don't need her to do anything for me and my child.😎💁‍♀️ And it turns out I was right! I don't need someone like her to confuse my toddler or any child that I raise.

As a parent of 3 littles, I can tell you that this was very inappropriate to bring into a show for little children. Sexuality is a personal choice, but the ages that this show is geared towards is HIGHLY underage for this topic. Even though it’s just a simple pride support message, it’s actually a gateway to a conversation that should not take place for years down the road. It’s opened up a “can of worms”- and I can guarantee that in the near future, she will go further & further into this topic. It’s VERY inappropriate at this age.

My non verbal autistic daughter learned how to talk by watching cocomelon. She was doing 3 sessions of speech therapy a week and learned nothing. Cocomelon caught her attention with its bright colors and songs. She even learned how to distinguish different emotions and facial expressions because of the way cocomelon portrayed their characters faces and how theyd sing songs about different emotions. Im getting very tired of people saying cocomelon is trash or not helpful. Not all kids are the same and not all kids learn the same way.

Honestly I think the reason people have started to view it as trash is due to the types of situations with parents that'd just leave it on 24/7 for their toddler, without monitoring or interacting with their kids. Kids who genuinely learn from something like cocomelon should have access to that. I just think the discernment of unhealthy exposure and healthy exposure has been getting mixed up when people discuss things like cocomelon. From what I've seen it partly stems from the elsagate situations. Many people are critical of children's content on KZbin because of the insidious child content farms on KZbin that take advantage of the kids who are left alone on tech all day. And unfortunately cocomelon gets lumped in with that

@@ravenrose3730 No need to be so strict, babies she is for sure right. In mine as well as in the case for my stepson televison soon lost its attraction. A comparison i had a friend from a religious family to him it wasn't allowed to watch as child, i could watch whenever i liked to. But when i was about 16 and had my own tv set, he was the one who always liked to watch tv. Since 20 years i haven't one and do not stream series but perhaps a movie a week. Similar my stepson, unfortunately he grew up as a child of a single mother until 4, yes that means an oversaturation with tv, but he soon "recovered" from that, however he's even less interested in gaming as i, electronic media is far to common to him because of me that it would really fascinate him. "It's ok, but it's not the real thing", and that is in return very ok. But limits are for sure needed, he for sure had no own web connectivity before 16, "you can use my machine whenever you like but not without my supervision". *And this i guess what leaks most that the parents take their time to supervise the children* Make clear limits and always keep your own promises or promise nothing (you know children can be very exact and in an hour means in an hour and not one second longer). They willl keep the limits and also keep their word if you keep it. And every drawing i made for my daughter later on was ten times better as anything else in this world 😀 "paint me a dog" "paint me a cat" "paint me ..." It needs patience and time and guess i worked on the contruction side got home at 7 pm, often cooked for the family and still had time for the children and now compare this to the nine-to-fiver with his easy peasy job who doesn't finds the time for his children because of all that "i me me mine". --- "...even those tears, i me mine, i me mine, i me mine..." We have screen time rules in place for our 5 year old to make sure that it has its proper place. I've noticed that when my daughter is watching educational shows like Daniel tiger, Mr. Rodgers, reading rainbow, etc our 10 month old son tends to want to watch and follow what's happening with his eyes. We do not place him in front of a screen. But I'm curious about what to do when they are in the same room as an older child who is watching TV. I try to shield his little eyes so he doesn't watch. Most of the time I play with him or I try to take him into another room, but it's not always possible.

I thought so at first too. But after thinking about it I wondered why she even mentioned it at all. Young children don’t need to know about it. They may have two mums or two dads or whatever the family dynamic is and I’m sure they’re quite happy. Why wish kids a happy pride month if not to get them questioning it? There’s time enough for that.
@Trunkslover14
@Trunkslover14 22 күн бұрын
If babies are old enough to understand "mommy and daddy" and a heterosexual family dynamic, then they're also old enough to understand "two moms or two dads". LGBT isn't a problem, but it's HOW they present LGBT to children, that matters.. Some people call it "sexual", to just depict "two mommies" saying they're dating, in a kids book, while that's the exact same as saying a man and a woman is dating, in a kids book. It's weird how other hetero normal people make LGBT out to be this sexual thing, when it's often just normal dating, like any other straight couple.

The point is whether Dylan verbally proclaims what he believes in on the show or not, that's not the issue. The problem is having him on the show automatically translates to APPROVING him and his life. It's NOT about "tolerance" or "reaching out". What is her mission in having HIM on her show? Everyone of those kids eventually will know who he is and what he stands for. This just says to me that he has her stamp of approval and that's that's a real disappointing red flag.
@Catastrophic_31
@Catastrophic_31 11 күн бұрын
I agree what's the point? But why do you, people sexualise what Dylan is and stands for straight up as inappropriate. Like you want to force it to be sexual so you can attack them. If a trans says that they are trans and talk about our differences, it's just sexual at once? The comments literally talk about Jules being non binary as the most inappropriate thing which was not even mentioned in the video and even if it's mentioned, where is justice for sny basic identification? Why wouldn't y'all bd concerned with bigots first than collecting Random American events to generalize everything against a whole group of people's public presence?
@georgewerther

@@Catastrophic_31 It has NOTHING to do with sexualizing ANYONE! It's about what Mulvaney STANDS for and his sick woke ideologies. People who wants to be trans is fine no one is ever going to change that and it's 100 percent fine.
