I am white. I can care for and style textured hair. My boys are mixed. Their father and them all have long hair. They have three different textures of hair and curl pattern. Their hair care needs are very different from mine. Im not taking away from anyone by knowing how to care for and how do to various styles of braids for them. Nothing wrong with knowing how to manage all different textures of hair. Versatility is positive. And if you have children with a different texture hair than yourself (biological/adoptive/step, etc), you should learn how to manage their hair type properly to keep it healthy. ❤❤

I have said this before. We faught racism in the 80s, we educated our boomer parents, and our silent generation grandparents, and if they still hung on to their racist beliefs we distanced ourselves from them. We were close to being colorblind in the late 90s... my group of high school feiends had Christians, Hindu, Muslim, Catholic, Jewish, white, black, Indian, Asian, Puerto Rican... our core group was a league of nations and we love each other... to this day! But somewhere these kids learned about slavery and felt themselves victims of the racism that was not theirs. Im not saying it never happened (from both sides, i had my black boyfriend's families say some pretty awful things) but when it did it was called out by many, I remember being angry about Rodney King, and yes there was a matchstick that caught on fire, there was violence but we moved forward together in peace and unity. But I was also angry that Floyd was even remotely compared. Floyd was a criminal and yes there was a catastrophic ending that could have been avoided, he was responsible for his own death by cop, and he found the right one. I said it, because the proof is in what happened in the aftermath, there is violence and separation and yes racism towards white people... I think everyone over 40 knows what I'm talking about, we witnessed racism towards black people decrease significantly, then had a period of togetherness that have now watched the increase in racism towards white people...
