Im not saying some people aren’t transgender and I don’t fully remember what Blair white said but what she said a long time ago made a lot of sense to me. it was something along the lines of most people who struggle with dysphoria like that are running from some kind of trauma. Something happened in that person life that lead them to run away and distance themselves from themselves. Like a coping mechanism. If you make the person you used to be disappear to become a whole new and different person than you effectively aren’t that kid who was traumatized anymore. Unfortunately tho you are still the same person who went through that experience and you have to work through that trauma and life’s hardships to work through your problems. Some people want to be a different person for a variety of different reasons but either way it must be painful to feel like you can’t be a sliver of who you are.
