This is like one of those clown cars where things just keep coming and coming! Hard to believe how much you have in the van. You must be an engineer! This is fantastic. You should draw up plans and instructions and sell. Sure it fits a Pacifica, but most minivans are close to being the same. Or branch out later when you get specific measurements of other mfrs. Of course doesn't sound like you need the extra income, but maybe you could "franchise" by selling it all to others who want to advertise and sell, do their own minivan for the experience, and you might even charge a consulting fee to those folks. Most of us need more income. Anyway you are a genius!

I was curious what he does for cold weather. Heaters use so much electricity. a small fire camp stove may be a fire hazard even if affixed. Maybe human body heat in small quarters with decent insulated sleeping bags does the trick. No mention of using insulation on the van, which would probably make it hotter in there in the summer.

Wow! This is pretty darn impressive. Very well done and easy to remove and store when you get home. I'm never going to do anything like this but it's definitely fun to watch. It's weird but I was mainly watching to get inspired by your kitchen setup (not that I didn't admire everything else in the process, lol). You see, I live in NYC in a top floor apartment that gets unbearably hot in the summer and I'm also disabled and have trouble even getting out of bed sometimes. What that means is that I'm essentially trying to come up with a "camp kitchen" and emergency bathroom setup that will fit into my bedroom (right near my bed in the only room with air-conditioning) so I can hide from the heat but also for those days when moving is a real challenge (fibromyalgia can be a real b*tch somedays, nevermind my other medical conditions). Thankfully, I don't have to worry about electricity or running water so it's a bit different but you still gave me plenty of inspiration for things that might work. Thanks! 😁👍

I also own a GFC Superlite coupled with an ARB awning / tent. Both set on my 2019 4motion Volkswagen Atlas. I Love how much comfort it offers While camping. Awesome to see how you've managed your vehicles space.

This is an ingenious, super practical build for 4 people. It's hard to find builds that don't remove both the middle and rear rows of seats, which is impractical if you want to transport more than 2 people. I like the simple yet sturdy bed solution, and how reasonably priced everything is. I've never seen that roof tent before. The only thing missing is a shower; other than that, it's perfect! 😀

your removable camper setup is much better than fixed campers, easily convert back to full passenger when not in use or adapt to another minivan. If you can figure a way to protect occupants from those sharp aluminum rails in case of, something collapsible then would be much safer. Another minivan conversion adds stronger suspension and spring to support extra weights.

Thanks. I suppose you can score these so they crumple but as it is, they are bolted to the frame of the car and sit to the sides of passengers so it would take a very intense rear crash to move them forward and angled in enough to be a problem. Compared to a typical RV with tons of wood and metal held on with cheap fasteners and hinges, this seems safer

Glad you liked the video! I don't think these are options that would work for me but I have all the parts linked in the video and will finish up a CAD drawing with dimensions. It's not that complex a build, especially if you just use plywood for the top and bed - the corrugated plastic sheets I used are light and strong but a pain to work with,
