This video starts to dive deeper into my thinking and workflow when creating tracks and sending midi out to my hardware synthesizers within my iOS workflow. I've been using Korg Gadget iOS as the heart of my hybrid setup for almost 3 years and feel people could benefit from me sharing my workflow. I hope this helps some people in the iOS music production landscape.

Would be cool to see how you sent out your midi tracks those parts was left out of the video like which gadget do you use to send out? can you use any gadget? What iOS settings in gadget to send it out? Etc

Only one gadget sends midi out. It's a midi based gadget called Taipei. Like many of these topics I did a few older videos on that before but will drop a updated video on Taipei directly

Great overview Todd. Trying to get a sequencing setup going. Not sure where to start. An iPad could be nice as a sequencer and sampler. Not sure. Really good stuff though. Korg Gadget looks great for live performance. I’ll have to mess around and post a jam at some point. :)

Awesome. I’ve just bought a cme Bluetooth midi adaptor to do exactly this. Do you notice any latency in sound between the hardware synths and the sound coming from the gadgets?

So, record the part with the Odyssey (Lexington), copy to Taipei, then midi out from Taipei to hardware. There you go. Now, if you’re going to bring those hardware sounds back into a Gadget audio track (next video?) that would be a very complete system. I would love to hear that analog synth cranked through a bass amp...nothing sounds as analog as moving air molecules! Thanks bro🙏🍷🎩🎩🎩
