@@SaltandSassGames Mythic 1e was the same at it's core, the difference with 2e is that it is more clearly explained and there are a lot more optional extras. Quite a lot of the text in 2e is made up of examples, which helps a lot, 1e didn't have so many examples. On page 47 of 2e are the Action tables, they were the ONLY tables in 1e (unless you buy Mythic Variations 1 & 2), now you have all the Element Meaning tables aswell as the Action & Description tables. The Variations section in 2e is a sort of compilation of all the sub-systems that were discussed in Mythic Magazine articles. All-in-all it's a lot easier to get started adventuring with 2e. Thanks for the video. That was a great overview and I liked that you noted at the end that while it did a great job with creating a DMless sense of the overall flow of play, such as you might have in a typical game, you found that it did nothing to address the issue of balancing that can become a problem when you are playing with a single character. Many RPGs really aren't set up well for that, unless it's a part of the core gameplay to have potentially very low or single character groupings, such as with Ironsworn. This is less of an issue if you can comfortably run your own additional characters, either fully fledged, or the way that I like to do, as an abbreviated loyal character or a skilled pet, effectively the same way that a GM does with some NPCs that temporarily join the party and help out, without the intent of stealing the thunder from the main character. This works well with support class roles such as a passive cleric who can cast needed heals or buffs, or a rogue type that can skulk, unlock doors and reconnoiter for issues. Or, if those are the core classes you like playing, switch the narrative and have a Barbarian NPC who can pull and hold mob aggro while you do the buffing and and healing or backstabbing from the shadows. I understand though that for some, and you mentioned as such yourself, running additional characters is a little too distracting for the experience you are looking for.

​@@SaltandSassGames - Yes, it's a very valid point for people to consider before buying it. Though I found relatively easy solutions to implement to get around that for the games I was playing (D&D 5E and Pathfinder 2E), for many modifying or implementing additional elements to create a better-balanced flow for a game just means more complication beyond getting use to the core ideas within the Mythic book, and for many that's already daunting enough to deal with, on its own.
