Really interesting thank you. We moved here in 2017 and don't know much of the local history. Update from a Portsmouth resident.... I live a few yards down from the Glen View in houses made from the stones of another closed business, the Carrfield Mill. The Waggon and Horses will hopefully open up further, as a wine bar. The Roebuck is occasionally open, rather at the whim of the 'interesting' Landlord. Frostholme Mill was sold at auction Feb 2024 and will be turned into flats with further housing behind. The derelict leather factory opposite the Roebuck has also been sold and is currently being converted to open plan flats. It is very encouraging to see abandoned buildings turned into homes after standing empty for years.

Thank you for watching. I've a few videos on the channel from the area including Cliviger that you may enjoy too 😊. Thanks for the updates on the pubs, etc....I'm slightly sad I've missed the opportunity to explore Frostholme to record its history before it changes forever. All the best 👍

Vale baptist church is still open in cornholme. St Michaels shut down only the other year, not many churches about now. Or pubs !! Mental to see how many they was !
