After touring North America last year, so many people asked for tangible versions of the new songs they didn't know from the live show. One of my favorite visuals in that song were the green people - there were just so many levels to it. It draws from the prejudice and vilifying of Wicked Witch of the West and makes a perfect analogy to the discrimination of the black community. But the green people weren't just black folk in green paint, they are comprised of ALL sorts of ethnicities underlining that we are all just human under the color. And not only were there just green people standing in solidarity in this BLM vigil metaphor, but all of their allies as well. You then realize that this wasn't even about making a statement of BLM, because they were standing vigil for Christina Grimmie and Orlando as well. The green people were just people all along.

Yes, he was featured on Nightline Monday, August 1, 2017 which is how I found about him. He does everything himself. He has no recording contract with any agency. He went broke buying props, wardrobe and other expenses needed for travel to gigs around the country and the world. He produces all his videos and music. Hello Todrick, my name is Daniel Gutierrez and I'm from Mexico, by the time I live in Monterrey N.L because I'm studying here but I'm from Sonora which is in the North of the country, I am 19 years old. My intention of this message is to write you a few words just to thank you for helping me to get out of this emotional problems that I had lately, first for inspiring me with your beautiful music and profound lyrics. I also want to thank for your beautiful and stunning work and above all, give you a greeting because you created a work of art, you sound so great that I am sure that you have touched so many hearts like mine, by the fact that it is so real, so sincere, and because of that, have helped me to accept me, I feel very identified because I have a father who raised me with "macho" attitude which he thought it was the correct and the only one, and my mom also said to me "you are special" and all this caused confusion because I never found the support that I need of my family and I contracted and I could never express what I felt, but I grew up and I had a person who support and she showed me what the relationships are, she was my first partner, a girlfriend which I loved very much until I realized that she was not made for me, probably I wasn't completely attracted, however I didn't know what was going on with my feelings a few years ago. Recently in my move to college I met my "Garret" and he introduces me to me, helped me in many ways and above all he showed me what love is, but unfortunately society did not allow us to be together and I was devastated, it has been very difficult this situation for me, since at that time no one of my friends knew that I was gay and I felt powerless and sad on the inside since I could not express my happiness to my loved ones about that I met someone and that he was making me very happy, and even worse, when we parted, I had to swallow the pain again because I didn't want to tell anybody my sexual preferences. I think this has to be one of the most amazing things I've seen and heard. Entertaining as all hell, but OMG so many layers, so intelligently put together. The lyrics to every song just fantastic, there isn't a "weak" song among them. The visuals are incredible and again, the layers, the multiple messages coming through.
