When feelings are turned into music. We don't need words to feel and toe shows us exactly this. I assume that everytime i hear them play, something inside of me begins to vibrate. Everything they create is related to me and i know that is related to you, who reads this. Wish i could only see them live. Hope sometime soon i realize this wish. Congratulations to you guys, you all do something together that lacks in most of human beings. You know how to dialogue without saying anything. Thank you eternally for your songs. They always help me get through.

I've never seen/heard a snare mic'd up so well. Along with the video footage of the whole band, this is so stupid amazing. The snare sounds like Poison The Well from many years ago. Really amazing band. Truly Truly outrageous.

Always loved their songs, but after having the greatest opportunity to attend to their concert.... I couldn't believe how it could be so much better than the studio recordings. Loved it, now I wish they made concerts in my country regularly. While that doesn't happen, I'll stick to listening to liver recordings such as this one.

Someone on the Toe team is a champion of sound, tone, mix etc. It's easy to get snuffed and start laying silly-putty all over drums, compressing everything... The life in all the recordings (live+studio) is really delightful!

Yeah I saw someone in a comment section say that he sounds like every other math rock drummer and so I did a deep dive on other bands and can firmly say Toe’s drummer has a signature style. Velocity control is insane
@osidiusemphatic Жыл бұрын
@@GoB1996 I've seen comments like that too. Unfathomable. Most math rock drummers play mostly like rock or emo drummers. Takashi's style takes from rock too, but the dude's a jazz drummer in disguise. It's why he's celebrated for drum tracks that fill so much space in toe songs, whereas most drummers would be called out for overwriting.

I agree because every drummer has a unique style. Though, saying their take is unfathomable to then immediately call most other drummers "samey" is kinda ironic lol.

I hear no math. I hear no progressive rock influence. How this has transcended rock to some new level is not at all evident in this ambient jam session. The comments and descriptions of the music art way more elevated than this music warrants. I wish I could get a hold of some of whatever is making these guys look like they're having an orgasm on stage. Post rock will never die because it's already dead and I think it's impossible to die twice. How about some compelling melodies, chord progressions, song structure, anything interesting whatsoever. It's the Emperor's new music. Good drummer though.
