Thank you very much for your great explanation of Writing for an Academic Discussion. Here is my response to the same question: I am convinced that (personal opinion) the most important aspect to consider when selecting the most suitable degree is personal passion and alignment with long-term goals (clear statement). One of the reasons for this is that genuine interest in a subject fosters sustained motivation and enthusiasm throughout the academic journey (specific reason for my choice). For example, a student might face a dilemma when confronted with societal expectations or lucrative career options that do not resonate with their true interests (relevant example). In order to make the best choice, one should carefully reflect on one’s passions, skills, and long-term aspirations, ensuring that the chosen degree aligns with one’s unique strengths and goals (step by step approach). As a result, students who follow their genuine interests are more likely to excel academically, find fulfilment in their studies, and pursue a career path that brings long-term satisfaction (show a cause-effect correlation).

Thank you for explaining how to approach Speaking Question 3, which might be challenging for a lot of international students. I have also tried my best to respond to this question, combing the information both from the reading passage and the lecture. Here is my response: The reading passage introduces the practice of method acting, highlighting its controversial nature in the realm of performance (the main idea of the reading passage). Method actors immerse themselves in their characters by exploring emotional inner lives, utilizing emotional memory, and replicating real life circumstances to create authentic and powerful performances (the definition of the topic being discussed). In the lecture, the professor discusses the drawbacks and criticisms associated with method acting (a smooth transition from the reading section to the listening section). Firstly, the lecturer points out that method actors are often challenging to work with due to their intense involvement in their roles, leading to confrontations with the cast and crew over the directions that the actor is asked to follow (supporting idea 1). This is exemplified by instances where method actors struggle to take directions when fully immersed in character, creating challenges in the production process (relevant example). Secondly, the professor emphasizes that method acting is not an easy practice (supporting idea 2); it takes a toll on actors physically and emotionally, contributing to potential friction within the production team (relevant example). Despite these challenges, the lecturer acknowledges that some of the greatest performances in film history have resulted from method actors who fully immersed themselves in their roles, demonstrating the effectiveness of the method despite its inherent problems (summary).

Is it okay not to involve the names of students and their opinion in the response? Also, would it be okay if one dose not mention the reading by name and the professor in the response?

Hi to all and thanks a lot for this great explanatory video. So, I would like to ask something about your internet site E2 TOEFL. There are a variety of different topics on E2 TOEFL to practice and that is awesome, it is very helpful but after completing the tests whether writing, reading or listening, why do not we get an AI-generated result or a certified teacher`s response about our results to see how good or how bad we have done the tests or different sections in TOEFL Mock Tests. It could well be a technical or algorithmically problem or sth else and I kindly ask if you could take a look at this problem, to see if there is indeed a problem with the AI-related result evaluation because after I finish the exam sections I just do not get any results or any kind of evaluation, except the first writing topic, with this topic I get a result evaluation but the rest is just dead so to speak. Many thanks in advance.

first thanks for sharing this. But cant we say that (in the speaking question 3)" the lecture supports the passage by saying that...." or we have to generally sum it up without mentioning the professor or lecture?

The lecturer/the professor supports the main idea of the reading passage by providing two relevant examples. Firstly, the professor emphasizes that (supporting idea 1) For example, ____ He also points out that (supporting idea 1) For instance, _____
