ToeOFF® 2.0, 2 1/2, or SHORT Without D-Ring Strap Tutorial

These instructions are for any 2.0, 2 1/2, or SHORT model of Allard AFO.

1) Lay longer strap (soft side against brace) across top front of AFO with sizing tag on the side for right or left hand pull.
2) Align long side of the tab along edge of wing. Fold tab inward and press into hook material on the inner side of the wing. Repeat on opposite side.
3) Repeat for lower strap.
4) Wrap strap around back of leg and press into Velcro patch. If necessary, trim excess strap material to accommodate strap length.
5) Repeat for lower strap.

Hello Allard! From the beginning I had problems with the Toe Off 2 orthosis. At first I had to adjust something because it rubbed on my tibia (I already had the protection on) and now I still have scars because of it. After only 18 months, I saw a delamination at its base and I was told to buy another one. How it's that posible? I've paid over 400$! So far I've been wearing another plastic orthosis that lasted a year, a year or so, but it was $ 20-30. I don't mind paying that money, but $ 400 a year seems ridiculous to me.

I hated this model. It cut my legs in the front because of the rubbing. It’s too bulky and I found it hard to wear with most dress shoes.

Hi C Dekate, Did you have a pad between your shin and the brace? One pad comes with the brace.

Additional info should be inserted at 48sec in kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGbWen2lfpWLi9U explaining the tibial padding needs to be added also. In the next shot I can see the padding has been added, but there is not explanation, or showing it being added, that part was skipped over. I think that part is just as important as the rest of the video.
