The word is overused, but nothing else can really describe what I've just seen. AWESOME man. And so many ways to cook those lovely fish. Thanks for getting my, culinary, imagination going. I'd start with: Sunday- Indian Bhuna, Monday- poached with a delicate lemon Cream sauce, Tuesday- burgers with Romesco Sauce, Wed-Fish&Chips with freshly made tartar sauce, Thursday-Grilled steaks with lovely light fresh herb sauce, Friday-Homemade tagliatelle with hali flakes or hali mousse stuffed tortelloni with a Salmoriglio Sauce & Saturday will be a day of fasting & giving thanks for fishing.

There can be big fish in Tofino for sure. August especially. Tofino is an incredible experience with great fishing, we would definitely recommend going there and fishing with Lance!

Make sure you book a room ahead of time, I can’t tell you how much ppl who didn’t book had tk sleep in the vehicle, pay 3-400$ a night in season and driving back to port alberni in the evening night 90km takes 1hr 45 -2hrs, plus there doing a road expansion on a hill like 15km from Tofino and you could be waiting an hour for your turn. Quick little stop to fish, if you can find the float planes and you can catch 10” perch, there is NO fishing off the docks in harbour Tofino, half day fish guide 625-650 full day is 1250-1300 per person. If you drive in, make sure your vehicle is fixed maintained, I promise you will wait over a week to have your vehicle looked at, check out uculete, as well it’s about 9 to Tofino (north) uculete is south, best of luck. Gone fishing for paid purchase, realistically Al you need is some chopped up squid, rigged up with a weight, it’s the ocean it’s not hard to catch fish best of luck and enjoy the twisty roads, the 1 long construction waits lol and the amazing seafood and overpriced accommodations, Vancouver island will break your bank account, worth every penny 😄 being a cooler if you book a charter as well and have your fishing license purchased you can buy a 5 day licence
