Tohoku University Bluegrass circle | Honey Dukes | TEDxTohokuUniversity

Tohoku University Bluegrass circle is a music circle consisting of 100 members. Bluegrass circle mainly plays American acoustic music using instruments such as the guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and bass. Also, depending on each band, some also play Country, Irish, Pops, Dawg and Jazz. The 20~30 attached bands are active around Sendai city and participate not only in school concerts and festivals, but also in the Street Jazz Festivals hosted by Sendai city annually. The band “Honey Dukes” consists of junior and senior students of the group whom will be demonstrating their music in TEDx TohokuUniversity2017.
100人近く在籍してる東北大学の音楽サークル。ギター、マンドリン、バンジョー、フィドル、ベースから編成されるアメリカ発祥の陽気で明るい曲調が特徴であるアコースティック音楽、ブルーグラスを中心に、カントリー、アイリッシュ、ポップス、Dawg、ジャズ等、様々な音楽を演奏している。仙台市を中心として演奏活動を行っていて、定期演奏会、学園祭だけでなく、定禅寺ストリートジャズフェスティバルをはじめとした様々な音樂イベントにも参加している。今回は3,4年生から構成されるバンドである「Honey Dukes」が演奏する。
