Emma's sense of humor always gets me, haha. It's understated and sneaks up on me. re: frugality and spending I think the important part is just to be doing it consciously, saving money because you know spending it wouldn't make you happier or vice versa, which is what it sounded like you were saying/doing. Also I like when people are able to laugh at the fact that people ship them--it's not my thing but I like when people... don't make fun of their fans or make them feel bad?

Good luck for the future Natasha. BTW.. If that pie you made was a shepherds Pie, it would have been made with Lamb mince as shepherds have sheep. As you used beef mince, you actually made a Cottage Pie as every English cottage has a cow, so I am told. :)

Wow I have never seen a shepherd's pie like that before, in the uk we make ours without the pie crust at the bottom. I love to cook my meat for a hour so the mince infuses the stock, tastes a lot better. Look good dont get me wrong just never seen it done that way. It's not quite the same, but I vaguely remember that iceland's greggs section had some steak pies that had mash on top instead of pastry. They were really nice but I think they were limited edition? Apparently my mam used to have that type of pie at school too. I guess it's just not common anymore which is sad because it sounds delicious. Edit: have since been told that it's called scotch pie. I'll have to look up some recipes

That pie looks like something made to display in a cookbook. A right shame I can't stomach onions (the one thing to which I'm allergic)...though I imagine this would turn out quite well without onions.
