I've watched way too many horror movies in my life to be able to ever enjoy a misty cabin in the woods. Put all the calm music over it you want, those misty shots look like potential murder. T_T)

Watching this just really hammers home how much I miss the mountains. I need to visit western Washington sometime soon, I miss it a lot. Living in flat Florida just doesn't do anything for me.

The forest is awesome looking! Peaceful and calm! As a person who's grown up with exactly similar cabins as where you stayed, I just have to point out that it's kinda odd but also interesting how Finnish made cabin fits to a Japanese landscape.

So relieved you survived all those critters and having to practically hunt and cook your own food like real outdoor persons ! At least there was a bidet. Good video, envy those trains you have there. Here in Canada there are few opportunities for rail travel these days.

This was such a beautiful and relaxing vlog, thank you for sharing this! Loved the music you chose for it. The atmosphere was so calming and nice and the place where you stayed was insanely beautiful! This would have been the perfect weather for me to go on such a trip, I love it when it's misty and raining. :D

With my job, travel and a lot of people (even socially distanced people) are out of the question right now, and my Japan trip was cancelled. So... I have been traveling vicariously through you and the rest of the TC crew. Thank you! Much love and many thanks from the States!

Reminds me of a place not very far from where I currently live...well, except the trees are different there. In the spring or fall, there's an area you can visit there (rather far into the mountains), and the view is like none other (on a crisp, clear day, one can see for nearly 200 km). On a cloudy or rainy day, however, you see the shapes of the mists rising in their haphazard forms from the trees below...quite a peaceful place, much as this is.

That looked so nice and refreshing. After 6 months of quarantine and barely leaving my house let alone my neighborhood, I rented a small cabin in the redwoods. Then the forest burned on the day I was supposed to go. A 2020 (true) story

I just watched Win the Wilderness on Netflix, where six couples compete to prove that they have got survival skills to win the deed to an extraordinary home in deep, rugged wilderness of Alaska. It is always in Northern countries how you manage to survive in cold winter environment.

Definitely very happy and lucky to be able to get out of Tokyo for a bit! I think there was one other group staying at the site while we were there, felt very nice to be away from the city and people 😊

Pretty spot. Also that grill makes me think of beef teriyaki like we used to make at home or get at restaurants. (That doesn't seem to be so much a thing in Japan, but it's very popular here at Japanese and Chinese restaurants. I sometimes wonder if it's one of those things people came over here and either invented it for this market or just found we really like it. Cause we do. It took sushi somewhat longer to catch on, it seems. :)
