Your Esther jacket is so beautiful! I already have the yarn and its waiting for me to cast on. So in love with this design! Your podcast is amazing, I don't think podcasters should ever apologize for the patterns they choose, since knitting is money, time and huge effort so they are free to knit whatever they choose :) Looking forward to your next videos!

Finally catching up with your latest videos. I love all your garments!. We have a very similar taste. I haven't knit the weekend hat for the exact reason you mentioned. Even though I like the look on other people I know I don't like a super fat brim on myself. My favourite hat pattern so far is the dual loop beanie by Other Loops. It's perfect for me in terms of look and fit. The other hat pattern I like is the Musselburgh for it's simplicity but only in fingering weight (and I don't knit it on a tight gauge). Anything thicker than a fingering I wouldn't like for that one.
@toksknits7 ай бұрын
Oh I’ll have to check out the dual loop beanie. I’m scared I’ll never finish the Musselburgh if I knit it with fingering weight yarn.

Wow you look really great with all the bright colors. I feel so inspired by your color choices. I had no idea that Lima is same as Nepal even though I have used both yarns 😂 that shows drops just randomly choose their yarn name not related to the origin or the wool..
@toksknitsАй бұрын
@@icemmag12 thank you so much! I find that Lima pills a little less than Nepal. I have a couple of sweaters I knit in Nepal a few years ago that are basically unwearable now.

I've just found your podcast and I'm SO HAPPY that I did - I love your energy, thank you for making videos! I totally agree with you about basic patterns being weirdly compulsive. I just finished a simple stocking st sweater and immediately started scheming yarn for another version in a different colour!

Beautiful knits, thank you for sharing. If you tolerate alpaca well, maybe you could try the CaMaRose Midnatssol as an alternative to mohair in a black Champagne cardigan. It’s a matt black and doesn’t have that shiny core. I think We Are Knitters Touch Me Mohair is also matt but I’m not sure they do it in black..?
@toksknits8 ай бұрын
Oh thanks for letting me know that. I have used Midnatssol before on its own so I’ll check it out in black.

There is a slight glow from the tencel core in some colorways but nothing like the silk core of most mohairs x

I ordered the Sandnes mohair in black (number 1099) and found out that it is actually more like anthracite. So i don't recommend it. I hate when black yarn is not deep black!

Yeah I was worried about that. A few people have suggested Knitting for Olive silk mohair in Licorice and Camarose Midnatssol in Black. I think those two are true black colors

Your jacket is beautiful. You do beautiful work. Your hat is very nice however, it is in my opinion that a small is to little for you because you have a lot of thick hair like myself (that's how it appears on screen) and a small is to little for me.
