My wife and i did the karts back in 2016 which was before nintendo hit them with a cease and desist so we were dressed up as princess peach and yoshi. We did our tour at night and driving through ginza, shibuya crossing and across thw rainbow bridge at night with all the neon lights etc was amazing!

Oh we're only a little jealous that you got to experience the REAL karts - that's the Mario version we relate it to in our heads! Crazy the story with Nintendo though 😂

It was nice to see the upgrade on the ride. Karl & James did it years ago. Loved your costume pick😂😂. Such a lively place no matter the time. Glad you both are loving it.😊

I wonder if it was still Mario themed when they did it? That's not allowed anymore, apparently Nintendo had a word or two to say about that

Love that the NZ emergency number was bad luck 😂 I am totally living the go karts through you. I didnt have an international driving permit when I was there last year (or my nz one on me) so couldnt do it. Saw people doing the tour the day that I was in shinjuki and I was sooo jealous. It looked awesome.

Another fun thing to do is chopstick making. It was a highlight when I was there in June last year.

I'm interested in Japanese fashion, and Asakusa is actually home to several manufacturers of leather products such as shoes👞, bags🧳, and belts, making it a famous production area for high-quality leather products.

We walked just over 40,000 steps one day around Tokyo. Our knees started hurting 😂

Hey Dane and Stace, Hope you guys are doing ok. Sounds like you guys had a great time in Tokyo.. When we were in Tokyo. The natives and some tourists were not happy about the motor carts. They were making hard for pedestrians to 7:21 crossi. At one point , the local authorities wanted to ban them. Glad you got to ride them. All the best. ❤ Looking forward to more content. Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond VA Looks like they resolve some issues

Amaaaaaazing! 🇨🇦 Glad you had a blast! I found being amongst buses and trucks a bit nerve wracking but it was a great experience, esp going through Shibuya scramble crossing!

10000%! Even with 50+ countries we've been to Japan shines at the top of the list (or close to)

How many days do you recommend to spend in Tokyo?
@DaneAndStaceyКүн бұрын
Realistically after 3 you'll have a good feel for the place, but given the amount of shops, food, neighbourhoods and adventures - more like 5 would be ideal.

Haha we did the go karts back in 2019 in both Tokyo and Osaka when we went to Japan for the rugby world cup..... i got up to 85-90km/hr going down Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo. We had no seatbelts on the go karts back then. We went under Tokyo Tower and had a halfway stop at the government building for free drink and awesome viewing. worth every cent. Enjoying the footage, reminds us of our month there.
