Im not into brat style bikes or Cafe's either but I love motorcycles. Im building a 1977 KZ1000a here in Columbus Ohio. USA. Although your video was very impressive I must say. And some of those brats were definitely cool ! I like how they appear to be 50 or 60 year's old. Very vintage. So keep up the good work on making your slick videos. I liked it!!! I like the minimalist styling of the Brat Style bikes. I would probably prefer the higher bars of the Brat Style than the lower bars of a cafe racer.

Top dollar video, mate. Very interesting. Why no interviews with the owner of the shop, though? I am guessing you speak good Japanese, just living there and all. I'm in my late 50's, and the 2 videos of yours I have watched so far, have got my motorbike mojo returning big time. I am thinking of getting a 550-750 no frills bike, again, like my old beloved Kawasaki Z650 which I miss after all these years.

Great video Peter! I’m in SoCal with tons of great bike shops but Japan is so enigmatic. 4 main islands right? So ferries connect them all? Somewhere in Tokyo is an old VW shop called Flat-4, they bought the rights to EMPI that might be fun to visit. I have one of their steering wheels on my ‘62. www.flat4.co.jp/english.html

Hi peter, I have a question. How hard it is to get motorbike license in Japan. I live in Japan as a student here, I rarely see motorbikes on the road. I just wonder maybe its hard to get license

Fajriation good question. Well there are 2 ways to get the license: go to test center and try and fail most likely multiple times. OR take a riding course, learn safety rules etc. and pass easily. Recommended! Start small! Japan is a safe place to ride but start small!

Ah yes, using a GPS in Tokyo! They're supposed to make travel easier, but in that density, they've cost me many hours of wrong turns. That crash with the Prius, bicycle, and garbage truck was so tragic.

When I came to Japan I saw guys riding what looked like a scooter but they were huge and the rider was practically riding lay on his back. Edit: just researched it. They're called Japanese Stretched Scooters.
