Thanks for watching y’all! CORRECTION: Harley at 17:28 is an IRONHEAD (Sportster) not Shovelhead. I know I probably botched some info on car / bike geek speak, I’m still learning. Doing my best to bring you these shows. I know a bit but not everything. If you find something I fudged let us know (respectfully) in the comments! We all can learn! Cheers!🎉

The design,execution, quality and vision in unequalled. This runs through the clothes, food and culture of Japan as well. Look at the way people dress even the moderation of their diets which reflects an aesthetic we don’t see in North America. Incredible collection.

Also at 16.43. "This is the original Tow Mater". No its not. Tow Mater was a 55-ish GMC/Chevy boom tow truck This one is a Dodge Wedge bed;) ...but I guess that comment was just a.... ehh.. comment ...but thanks for the otherwise well done walk trough of the Yokohama show. I wonder which cars and motorcycles built today will be custom classics 50 years from now. With all the plastics in today's vehicles, I wouldn't expect much future custom hotrods, especially from battery electric vehicles.

dunno bout that RS100, Doghouse Customs built a nicer one however it is CLEAN and the suspension is unique.. but it has no look to it really other than it is celan, no body lines to speak of, style cues... but I like it no jokes, wait that's a lie I LOVE it... extremely nice build... check out the Doghouse Customs for the styling I am referring to, he added his own cues to it, very beautiful build as well . . .

Are or were there any custom old Japanese cars? Or were all of them from USA? Don't they customize what they built back in the day, like we do in America? I know that foreign cars are valued for status, and always have been, but the Japanese must have some old iron '30's-'60's to work with. Also, show more booth girls! Many Japanese women are just as beautiful as those high end custom cars (maybe not the motorcycles. LOL)! IMO.

Cheers Dave! Hard to be an expert in everything. #Learning Please educate us on what does/doesn’t qualify as a low rider. 👍🏻
@davidbowman4015 Жыл бұрын
The trucks and cars in your video fit a term called "Slammed". These are vehicles that use airbags to drop the suspension down on the ground as displayed at the car show. The Low Riders are automobiles that have been modified to articulate on all four corners to raise or lower each corner either together or separate at the same time. These cars can drive down the road with one side high the other side low scraping the ground. The have multiple air or hydraulic compressors to lift and lower the cars. This type of auto was developed by the Mexican hotrodders back in the 50's and 60's in Southern California. Any make of auto can be a Low Rider but most guys prefer the Chevys from that era. The Impala is one of the favorite cars used. They have extravagant paint jobs that can cost tens of thousands of dollars. The under pinning's of the cars may be all chromed or gold plated with equally extravagant engraving done on the plated components. Check out "Low Rider Magazine" for beautiful examples of the cars. While the cars and trucks in your video are very low and look really cool they don't fit the Low Rider category. I hope this is of some help. @@PetervonGommJAPAN
