Tokyo Disneyland - Rare Characters, Dreaming Up Parade, and Food (MICKEY CHURRO!)

This was our first time at Tokyo Disneyland Park! We met some rare characters like CLARICE and ate a lot of food. Lots of treats are Mickey shaped, including their churros! Plus, we started a dance party after the Dreaming Up parade! We did almost all of the attractions in the park on our first day, but you need to watch Part 2 to see the rest! Coming soon..

I was there the week after you when Pooh opened up. It's good but I wouldn't make a special trip for it. Looks like you had as much as we did and yes... that parade is literally everything. Tokyo Disney is the heart of Disney. Walt would be proud.

20 MINUTES FOR PETER PAN?! HOLY CRAP THAT'S AMAZING. My park is Magic Kingdom so Peter Pan is usually over 70 minutes and we usually need a fast pass for it. Also 5 minutes for Pirates?? That's amazing since the last time I went to the park, it was under 30 minutes which was lowest we saw it so far this year. I really hope one day I can go to Japan and stop over by the Tokyo resort. I mostly just want to eat around the parks like you do at EPCOT lol.

We went during a really slow time for the Tokyo parks, so just be sure to visit during non-peak seasons when you go!

I used to work in foods at DCA and the reason why the turkey legs are so much larger in California is because they are actually emu legs. If you ask a cast member for the ingredients list, it will say emu on there, trust me!

This is a long running urban myth that has been debunked many times - it's even on Snopes! Zachary Levi did an interview on Conan where he said that the turkey legs were really Emu, which perpetuated the myth - but it is not true. Disney executive chefs have confirmed they are 100% turkey. Disney cannot advertise food as one thing and have it secretly be another - that would cause a lot of problems. Emu is also not a cheaper substitute for turkey. It's about 16x more expensive to use emu.

Thats exactly what I thought when someone first told me. I thought "There's no way they can advertise emu legs as turkey legs! It must be against the law." However, when I looked at the ingredients list, it was written out right there. They have to list it on the ingredients list because of allergies and we were always told to avoid showing the list. I don't know how they've gotten away with it or where they get their emu's from. But from my knowledge, and working there for over 2 years in foods, they are definitely emu legs. Maybe I'm wrong but this is just the information I got while working there

Absolutely. Tokyo DisneySea, the companion park to Disneyland, is probably one of the single nicest parks anywhere.

Hard to say! Tokyo is by far the most detailed and beautiful resort, but I dream about some of the rides at Shanghai every night.

We went during a very nonpeak time of year and this video is from a Wednesday, so right in the middle of the work week. I'm sure Peter Pan gets up there in wait times, but I hear Pirates is usually a quick line there.

Yeah they really don't like it when people do. A lot of the times they tell you specifically before to not have your phones out, so I didn't even try. There were some attractions where no one said anything, so I filmed a bit - they will be in later vlogs.
