William Jarman I hate roller coasters. I went on Space Mountain when I was at DLRP because my mom swore I liked the one at Anaheim so much, that I wanted to ride it again. I was 3yo at the time, so how bad could this be? It. Was. Horrific! I couldn't believe why on earth they would allow a 3yo or why I would possibly even like it. Took me 8 years to learn the truth that the ride is no where near the same.

Thank god you did your research! I waited in line for IJ at Paris, thinking it was like the one in DL. (At the time, none of us had ridden either). By the time I found out it was a roller coaster, it was too late. Plus the cold mist was like needles at that speed. Then I decided to ride Space Mountain, because my mom swore I loved it so much at Anaheim that I wanted to ride it again (I was 3). There is NO way they'd let a 3yo ride something like that! I thought something was off by the design of the restraints. I felt like I was being repeatedly punched in the head by a boxer. It wasn't until 8 years later that I learned the truth about Paris' Space Mountain.

The American parks really need to be modernized and I understand why the Asian parks are becoming very popular now

wookieeMan06 The Tokyo Park is not owned by Disney but they license the Disney brands from Disney and Disney has creative control. Could be why, in many ways, it’s different from the other parks.

From what I understand the difference here are two main things 1. Oriental Land Company which give the Japanise culture vibe, 2, Walt Disney company. The parks in the US are owned by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts which is a subsidiary of Walt Disney company. So pretty much different organisations in some aspects

Sarah, was there a difficult language barrier or was it relatively simple to navigate?

speaking from my experience in disneyland paris, i didn't have any problems with a language barrier. i think since tokyo is even more popular, it would be super easy to manage!
