best nightlife experience I've ever had in my life. It's like the rabbit hole to Wonderland

Brian Bar (orange sign, 2nd on left) was one of the highlights of my trip. 5 people upstairs from 3 different countries hanging out and having a great time in the moment. Bartender broke out the really good stuff and joined in. This brings me right back.

Mitaki Bar was the best. So accommodating and friendly, and the lady behind the bar noticed my Spice Girls T-shirt so played Spice Girls for a short while.

Absolutely love Golden Gai. My favorite spots are Death Match in Hell, and Comorebi. Death Match in Hell is a horror movie themed bar and all the drinks are 666 Yen lol. The bartender speaks English and sells Death Match shirts which has his decapitated head on them lol. It's mostly tourists who walk in though. Last time I was there it was filled with Australian and British tourists. Comorebi is more chill and has a mix of tourists and locals that pop in. It's an awesome bar for making friends. And あべさん, is one hell of a bartender

Great video and a very interesting looking area. I've seen some other videos of the Golden Gai on KZbin, but I think I like yours the best. I live in a very rural area in North Carolina, and don't really care for large cities. But Tokyo is so interesting looking I think I would enjoy going there. Very colorful, especially at night. And the people seem friendly and mellow. Just discovered your channel and I see you have videos of Italy, a place that also seems worth a look. I'll check those out. Be safe in your travels.

Thank you so much for watching my video, and for taking your time to comment 😊 Tokyo indeed is a perfect city for exploring. It has lots of interesting areas, from crazy busy to very quiet, peaceful, and local. This video of Golden Gai was filmed around 9pm on a weekday, so as you saw, it was pretty quiet still, and bars were not so full.

I just booked my hotel in Shinjuku and it's literally 200m from Golden Gai! I can't wait to visit. Not a lot of people though in December from what I saw in this video...

Nice! You'll have an amazing time in Tokyo! It was filmed on a weekday, before 9pm, so it was not in a full swing ;)

@@sharonpinilla3539 yes I did. The hotel is decent! I think they renovated it a bit.

Exactly what date did you film this? Can I still see autumn colors late December? Say, 23 December?

considering how much stuff is in a small area it seems shockingly quiet, do they have alot of sound absorbing materials or something

Why are soooooo many people wearing masks outside ….???
@travelwithvioletvik9 ай бұрын
Flu season in Japan is always like that, when people have running nose, or some other symptoms, it's polite to wear a mask to not spread body fluids around
