Here I am. Back again in the endless void that is my job. Listening to japanese train sounds in order to give me the illusion that the world has not stopped yet. Nice background sound tho.

We've been visiting Japan at least once a year. While I've managed to find ways to reduce the separation anxiety, I'm still hit with missing the everyday sounds, smell and feel of the country. This really helps.

I've only been twice in Japan, but I know what you mean. Tokyo is unique, and you're right about the smell and sounds.

Tokyo metro, the most agreeable metro to ride. So practical, user friendly, clean. Everyone is so respectful too. Can't wait to go back.

I miss Japan so much. I lived there for three years. I rode the Yamanote all the way around once just because it was so relaxing. Someday I would love to return...

Closing my eyes while sipping on some matcha latte makes it almost feel like I was back in Japan.

For anyone curious like I was, this a compilation of clips. They each begin at the Gotanda station and end at Shibuya, travelling West. Each clip is unique, and the transitions are seamless, though it is not the entire Yamanote line. I imagine the creator took them on route to work. Still incredibly cool, but this answers my question of why there were so many Shibuya stops 😂

I really miss the sounds of their train, the ringtones are so nice, in Hong Kong, the announcements are so cold and no music

Actually not all of this video is yamanote because I can hear the Kehij Tohoku’s vvvf sound. And no it’s not another train in the background. Not complaining at all but was just something to point out that’s all. 👍
