Btw, LD-2 containers on the767 are a nightmare, you cannot load them on MD-11's, A-330/340 or especially the 747. Being non-compatible with almost every other aircraft other than the 777 is a HUGE logistical liabilty. Almost every transfer airport results in a labor and time consuming effort, moving frt and luggage out of the LD-2. So bad that American airlines doesn't bother with the container, they stick with the LD-3 and lose the frt position for every container used.

Yes, I am not a rich man myself, I am fully aware of the "don't laugh, it's Paid for" point of view. However, since you brought it up, when DL replaced the A-330-200 with the 767-300ER, they gave up over 100,000 pounds in MTOW. Limitations? No video screens in coach, no crew bunks for crew on a flt that often exceeds almost 12 hrs. In fact, outside of the few 767-200ER's left in passenger service, the 767-300ER is the smallest aircraft that can fly non-stop SFO-NRT. (DL retired the -200)

4:51 Delta 767-300ER....what a joke to use on a trans-Pacific flight.... Left SFO two days ago with a full passenger load for NRT BUT with only aprox. 2,500 pounds left available for cargo. Departed with over 65% of the cargo positions available empty. 2 pallets and 6 cans cut from the flight. ( a common occurrence) I cannot begin to explain why Delta bought NWA... Delta finally got the Asians routes they wanted and have proceded to downgrade the entire Asian market.
