It was honestly one of our favorite things we ate the entire time! This was the only opportunity that we had to have it tempura battered, and boy was it delicious. I am glad to see the two of you enjoying . In Japan, it is considered fine to hold any vessel in your hand except for flat vessels that are larger than your palm. And Bowls containing rice and soup are fine to eat in your hands, even if they are large. Personally, I don't think you need to worry about it too much. Have a nice time!!

If you are a health-conscious person, then soba noodle is the way to go. Udon noodles are elastic and tasty, but they are made from wheat flour and contain gluten. Soba noodle contains rutin, which promotes blood circulation and reduces high blood pressure. But soba noodles made from 100% buckwheat flour are expensive. So most soba noodles available in the city contain wheat flour.
@HeresGoodTravel

Wow, what an amazing comment this clarified so much for us! Luckily for our viewers, we are not very health-conscious people😂. At least on filming days. It makes so much sense that we had soba noodles that were so varying and quality. This must be the reason thank you so much for letting us know this cool fact hopefully we can let people know in future.

This is one of the best episodes to me! My husband and I loveeee noodles. The mystery tempura plant that you ate at Tsurukosi Udon restaurant was 'Shungiku', Crown Daisy in English, but I have never seen it here in the US. You guys went to Tsuru-ton-tan!!! That is very famous udon restaurant in Japan, and I always wanted to try but the line to get in there was incredibly LONG!!! That view from the window seating though... you were so lucky! Next time I go home in Japan, I would like to try these noodle restaurants and get my blood sugar ski high :D That would worth it!

Hahahaha what an awesome comment! Thank you so much for it! That place was honestly worth the hype and the wait. We hardly wait for anything so we almost left the line twice😂. Thanks for letting us know what the leaf was! We never saw it again which makes sense that it was seasonal. The crazy thing is that when we talk about or favorite foods from that trio that thing always comes up! Thanks a million for watching and for the support! Cheers

I'm Japanese but I've never had Tsukemen in my life, cause 40 something years ago while I was still living in my country, I didn't run into that menu. Also I don't recall spicy ramen during my days in Tokyo. (I was born in the late 50s in Shinjuku-ward then grew up in the Ikebukuro area. So I had an access to the variety of food offerings in Tokyo though.) Anyway, they look really good. I'll try them next time I go back to Japan. Thanks for your report! Very helpful. Note: Another unique noodle dish is Japanese style pasta or Wa-fu-pasta with soy-sauce flavor etc. That's something I recall from my youth. I really liked it so I recommend. 😘

The green leafy tempura that you guys had with your soba noodles was probably garland chrysanthemum tempura. Slightly peculiar, it is a familiar ingredient in Japan. And let me give you one piece of advice, don't throw your hand towel into your bowl when you're done eating, because it's bad manners. Anyway, I love your inquisitiveness about noodle.

Standing soba in front of the station is good (although of course it is delicious), but if you really enjoy soba, you should definitely try soba from a soba restaurant. Although the price is higher, the aroma and texture of soba noodles carefully made from buckwheat flour are completely different. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3OYg5tuic5ln5I

@HeresGoodTravel
@HeresGoodTravel 16 күн бұрын
A lot of times we just search a specific type of food in Google maps and then look at the pictures to see if we want to go somewhere. We spend most of our days just walking as far as we can and we will walk past some cool places and then save them for later. We will read articles on what food countries are known for and if there is something we haven’t tried we will seek it out. Honestly just luck😂

I heard that Americans eat cereal, bread, milk, coffee, juice for breakfast, hamburgers, fries, fried chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, apples, bananas, and Coke for lunch, and pizza, pasta, corn soup, black tea pudding, and cake for dinner. Is this true?
@HeresGoodTravel
@HeresGoodTravel 16 күн бұрын
😂 we do eat all of these foods just not necessarily at the same time. When Alyssa and I are at home, we will typically have avocado toast with an egg for breakfast. A sandwich, salad, burrito or rice bowl for lunch and at dinner we will eat just about anything. We live close to Mexico so we eat a ton of Mexican food. We also have a huge Asian population so we eat a lot of Vietnamese Thai Japanese Chinese food as well. One of the perks of living in the United States as it is a very diverse place so we have an opportunity to try foods from all over the world, made by people who have immigrated here. If you watch a lot of videos, you’ll notice that we eat a ton of everything.😂
