The prices in Japan is so insane for being cheap even in supermarkets

Food can be quite affordable in Japan! Though fresh vegetables and meat from the supermarket, depending on what it is, can also be really expensive. A remember a single tomato costing something like $4. A single bulb of Japanese-grown garlic also being like $3+. But if you buy Japanese ingredients like mizuna, daikon, inoki mushrooms, shiitake, etc etc they are relatively inexpensive.
