Technically it's not "illegal" in previous games, it's basically set in a hypothetical future where cars are no longer needed, so the highways are empty and used for recreational purposes, such as street racing

It was cool to recognize the expressways here from gran turismo 7. Never been to Japan but it helps give some authenticity to the roadways being shown the same in two different games.

One missing thing is cheesing the start of the race. Before if you rolled up just fast enough, you could get the jump on them from the start as it wouldn't stop your momentum until countdown, letting you set your own starting position. It was necessary to young me who was blocking entire races in my shitty slow cars.

I miss this feature but the more rigid starts seems like it'll prevent the classic issue of opponents taking an exit during the "cutscene" and the race starting with a draw

The bar moving from outside to the inside is a fighting game thing, that's how HP bar works there so it's the accepted way. You just have to get used to it.

Hey Pants, now that you have transmission tuning unlocked you should really raise your final drive to shorten your gearing. If you aren’t topping out in your final gear, then there is acceleration being left on the table, and you aren’t reaching you’re highest possible speed for the HP you have.

Dude I stayed 5 hrs running TXR last night. Amazing early access launch, everything for me worked and performed amazing. The game feels amazing with my CSL DD, I was surprised how fun that FFB is. A mix of arcade with that feel of realism. And the sound track lol just wow. Geinki hit it out of the park, man. I own zero and three, and this 2025 version is perfection imo, and this is early access. 👏👏👏 let's go, Geinki !

**TIP** One thing to note is if your not in a race your tyres do not wear down! So racing normal traffic does bring in some cash but does cost you some tyre wear!

FYI depending how you enter the C1 loop left or right depends on what teams you see, some loop in only 1 direction Other rivals can loop in either. Just you wait until you get to the wangan and meet unlimited and speed king

The difficulty spikes up so much after you beat bloodhound. I had to grind in order to upgrade my Subaru in order to stand a chance. My Subaru also has a base horsepower of 200. And I upgraded it to 249 horsepower and I was getting my arse kicked by mostly everyone, until I upgraded it to 280+ horsepower.

Everything is finalized just waiting on examiner to review…. So tomorrow or next week is my guess if not then it could be awhile but 2days ago genki had the rights filed with government of Canada. Things are moving along but we are waiting on the government now.

Genki made the Wangan Midnight PS3 and PSP game and they also assist Namco with their Wangan Midnight arcade games so that checks out Devil Z and Blackbird are also in the older games under different names so they clearly wanted to make a Wangan Midnight game for a long time lol

You will stay on your cars for a good while if you're not able to defeat bosses with a bit of luck playing towards you. You can also try beating wanderers if you 1. match the requirements and 2. are actually fast enough. TXR games are designed to form a bond to your car. I got to buy the S13 after five hours of playing. I always upgraded the car to whats possible, so If that's not enough I guess the best way to progress is buying a car that has a lot more BHP out of the box and then upgrade that instead.

I recommend lowering you're final drive to 4.77 ratio at the beginning of the game you need acceleration that's the best way to fine tune

It went way beyond plates. You had to be at certain spots at certain times, do certain things, use certain stickers/items, etc. Wanderer system was pretty deep and without a guide, you were screwed trying to get them all.

We just watched it… what i was say is that that area is controlled by Jackknife from the 13 devils group from Zero and he was originally from rolling guys which is why he was given the moniker TRAITOR Jacknkife. Im not saying he left rolling guys to go to SE but that he was originally from rolling guys. That said it has been a very long time since i played those games. And again i could be wrong, i but i believe that was Jacknkife’s back story. N as i get into talking about this im sure he was in a sil80 or a 180… it was a sil80 bc he didnt have pop up headlights in Zero.

I think the credits in this game are set to Japanese credits, a hood change instead of 200,000cr is probably 20,000cr, hopefully when the game is released it will be adjusted for western countries.
