I agree. I just want to see cool stuff in Tokyo now that the people there are opening up even more to being out and about. I think it’s going to be a fascinating time in history to be in Japan. Extremely insulated.

It’s like a hard candy sugar coating. I’ve never had one before but I know they’re like that.
@LaNoir.2 жыл бұрын
@@rachelcookie321 we only got candied apples here on some occassions, never managed to eat one, those things are hard as stone. I just recently found out through manga (lol) that you hit them with a spoon to crack the glacing
@rachelcookie3212 жыл бұрын
@@LaNoir. oh right, toffee apples. I’ve had those a bunch as a kid. Never heard of someone hitting it with a spoon, usually there aren’t spoons around when you eat them. You just lick it and gnaw at it under you can get through. The apple inside never tastes very nice though tbh.

Sarah's demonstration was hilarious!🤣
@plipplop17692 жыл бұрын
Fun fact, those candied strawberries are actually a northern chinese snack called tanghulu typically eaten in winter. It's more traditionally done with candied hawthorns if you ever get to try them, they're my favourite kind. It's like a small more sour and softer candy apple.

I love the food videos, but what I'd like to see even more are crafting experiences. I hope to be in a position to visit Japan soon and I would love to see what there is to offer, like learning to grow and dye with indigo (if there is such a thing), or visiting the Noro Yarn spinning mill. Food, while fun and interesting, is fleeting. But craft skills are eternal - or should be if we take care to preserve them. I am a potter by trade, but I have a fascination for all creative skills and dabble in fibre crafts a lot.
