I see three different Kobe Beef Kisshokichi locations in Kobe - this seems to be the one on the west side, furthest from the main station - each one seems to have different pricing on google

My brother was living in Kobe in 1995 when the earthquake hit. He mentioned that the Yakuza were handing out food and water, which was very surreal to see

Girl, I just love your energy!!! How you presented every location was informative and you made it seem fun, I smiled at all your quirky ways. I can tell you have respect for Japan and its culture. Stay positive and keep up the great work you presented in this informative video. Sayonara.

Toilet shoes purpose is no doubt in case the toilet backs up and floods the floor. Not an issue for western toilets, but I bet those squat ones are prone to flooding like the toilets at french campsites.

5:32 Although I have complete admiration for Tokyo and all of Japan, and although there are many interesting things in Shinjuku, I like Meguro, Minato, Shibuya and Chūō much more. There are so many amazing things in all these regions and you wouldn't even notice the weeks go by. Thank You for this video. Congratulations for your channel.

Thermae-Yu in Shinjuku was pretty awesome. Four stories of baths and spa experiences. So many different types of baths! Also you are bathing with the locals and not the tourists which adds that extra bite of authenticity to the experience.

Just major city’s in America are walkable and they typically have, at least decent public transportation. If your in the country side here you NEED a car.
I feel every youtuber in japan has gone to this place... at least a little originality

I don't know if the lay person can totally appreciate what's going on in the knife making portion. If you were to buy an expensive, or even a good German knife like a Zwilling, you're liking paying for a knife that was stamped out from a sheet of steel and then ground (grinded?) and heat treated for hardness on an assembly line. The knife making masters here are hand forging and heat treating the knives individually with high quality cutlery steels like VG-10, ZDP158, or laminated Hitachi shirogami (white paper), or aogami (blue paper) steel. This is a big deal. Just like great chefs and good ingredients make a great meal, a skilled knife smith, and excellent steels make for a superior kitchen knife that requires very little sharpening and will become heirlooms.
