@@irenefornelius758 It's my pleasure. Hydrangea is starting in late May and finish around late June. There are different kinds of hydrangea, so you can enjoy for a while. Kamakura is nice in Autumn too. :)

Another great video! Love your maps and tips for the independent traveler. Thank you for pointing out the restroom, it’s important information for some people (like Kevin) who need to use the restroom a lot…. Also it’s good to know about when walking shoes are needed or if the walks are uphill so taking the bus is easier. You are good at keeping your viewers in mind!

Hello! I visited Kamakura 2 weeks ago on a weekday on on a Odakyu Free pass! We visited the Hachimangu Shrine, Hasedera Temple and went up to see the breath taking view, The Great Buddha. Thanks for making another video of my favorite day trip from Tokyo. My son's first trip to Japan i told him to go there and he enjoyed. He walked a few of the hiking trails(i do enough walking i have never done the trails) , he said most of the trails were very well marked. He wants to go back.

I went 6 years ago in winter and then this year in the start of summer. (May/june) The flowers were beautiful. Hydrangea. This time I went to the fireworks festival in zushi. I will go back in winter early next year to explore more.

I didn't know about the shrine, but I think it's good to visit if you walk nearby or if it looks appealing for you. I'm planning a multi-day hiking trip to the Kita Alps in September and thinking about going to Kamakura on the last day before flying back to Bangkok. I had already been to Kamakura once over 10 years ago and had checked out all the famous temples and shrines, so this time I'm looking to check out the beaches and test local food like nama shirasu don. Your video gives me some very good ideas. Thank you very much!

❤ I just got back from Tokyi and I had my own version of short kamakura day trip. Asakusabashi > Shimbashi > Ofuna (Daikannon) > Enoshima (via shonan monorail) - lunch, then walk to beach & island - took enoden Kamakura (have coffee) - JR to Sakuragicho - took Yokohama Air Cabin - dinner at Port mall > Negishi-sen to Akihabara > walk to Asakusabashi (hotel) 😂 I was so tired but happy. And I want to visit again soon! Still have not visited Daibutsu and chikurin ^^ Im a new subscriber and I will definitely take notes for your videos fpr my next trip to Japan (tsugi wa 10kai me da 😅)

That's great you saw the Daikannon in Ofuna and even Yokohama too. :) This is a great example of a day trip that there are many different ways to enjoy Kamakura area. I like to take my time, I dont like day trips, and I like to be there before and after the day visitors arrive (or leave). I want to visit all the places you have mentionned. Do you think that 3 nights are too much ? Maybe 2 nights in Kamakura and 1 night on Enoshima ? Thanks a lot for your advice.

Do you recommend a good hotel room with a private bathroom ? When I visit Japan next May I would like to also visit Kamakura for 2 days and see the great statue of Buddha. I remember watching a movie called “ Around the world in 80 days .(1956) and they showed this statue of Buddha and that’s why I would like to go and see the statue myself. I like to take my time seeing and visiting new places,

Oh wow, thank you for introducing the interesting video. I was checking about it now and it seems there was a scene of Kamakura as you said. I think that would be a great idea to stay a night in Kamakura so you can spend more time there without rush. Kamakura doesn't have much choice of hotels, but I think Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura would be a great choice. It's right in front of Kamakura station to take buses and tram called Enoden.

Hello. I'm not sure what the 5 means, but any bus from terminal no.4 at Kamakura station (east exit) goes to Jomyoji. Jomyoji is 6th stop from Kamakura station. The bus company website (only in Japanese). www.keikyu-bus.co.jp/line/root_stop/kamakura.html.

The hotel in the best location is JR's Hotel Mets right in front of Kamakura station. Not many hotels in Kamakura, but Kamakura is not a large area so wherever you stay, you can get to the place easily.
